You sit in a boat in the middle of a lake. The lake below you acts as a perfect mirror, reflecting the night sky. The wind quietly whispers through the trees surrounding the lake. They rustle gently.  Minutes pass as you sit there thinking about everything that happened in the dorm.

But then, Sterling plants himself on the side of the little oak boat.

"Oh, it's you," you bitterly greet him. A few brief seconds of silence sits between the two of you. All the crow does is caw back before eventually flying away. Loneliness is a bizarre thing. Sometimes you crave it, and sometimes it's a silent killer lurking that you can't seem to get away from. It's so suffocating that it won't let you forget that you are, indeed, alone. The moment the crow leaves your line of sight, you are happy that he's gone. But at the same time, you wish he'd come back. That animal companion is the only one you have to scare away the predator, loneliness, back into the night.

You watch as a familiar silhouette appears from behind one of the trees. He smiles to you, stepping out onto the lake. As he does, the water stills, turning into glass.

"Tuxedo Mask!" You hop out of the boat and run to him. With every step, you hear the crackle of the glass beginning to break beneath your weight. He meets you with open arms.

"Come to me, my dear." And you do, taking shelter within his arms. He feels warm. His clothes are smelling of birch and amber. He gently places a hand on your cheek, rubbing his thumb over your lips. "Are you alright?"

"What are you talking about? Of course, I'm fine," you answer, quite confused.

"I'm so glad you're safe." You back up out of his arms.

"Seriously. What are you talking about? I was never in any danger." You stare intensely at his face. You watch as it harshly morphs. Blood drips down from his face. His skin fell off with it. You recoil, backing. "What's wrong with you?" You gag on every word. Your stomach turns harshly, making you turn away and cradle yourself.

You stumble back into the boat, back to your only safety. As you glance back to Tuxedo Mask, you notice his face as regrown. But instead of the handsome man you'd expect, he turns into Max. Sharp, violent clicks are heard throughout the glass lake. It starts near the shore, the glass rapidly disintegrating, leaving nothing but a lightless void behind. There's a heaviness in your heart, a pain.

No, it's not the feeling of fear or heartbreak even. Those feelings can be treated. But this? It's helplessness. The inedibility that everything you see will be swallowed up by the encroaching darkness. You hear another crack as the glass continues to crumble and die. Then, the glass below you falls. And you fall too.

A bump in the road wakes you up. Thank goodness for it, too. You don't think that you would have been able to stand another second of that dream. There's a grogginess that coats over your thoughts and consciousness. Last night's "trip" has clearly been a little too eventful for you.

Sneaking into a dorm building? No, that part was fine. Despite the discomfort on your side, your daring escape wasn't the highlight of last night. It was the creep. That handsome, beautiful creep. He who seems to always want you nearby and far away. A confusing attitude.

Your head feels groggy, and the pain pulsing in your side continues. But just as Carla is and Carla is, she has been pushing through her tiredness. She continues to drive the car for hours to our destination. You think about last night in the meantime. During the reflection, you come to realize that you didn't find a thing! You sigh, taking another moment to imagine those blue eyes.

"Carla," you speak through your sleepy voice. "Do you know what Caroline found last night?"

"Oh, you're awake." Carla smiles, "I hope you had a good nap."
