It was the day of the Arsenal Christmas party. Everybody had told Evie how good it was and her expectations were high. She was slightly worried about how much food was going to be involved but Leah reassured her that no one would judge how much or little she ate. Today was about having fun.

They drove with the Christmas music on high and the two of them sung loudly.

"You'll be great at the karaoke," Leah told her.

"Karaoke?"

"Yeah. One of the best bits of the day actually. We'll see if we can get Jonas to join in. That's always a laugh."

"Merry Christmas bitches," Katie said, rapidly knocking on the car window.

"Merry Christmas Katie," Evie laughed as she got out of the car.

"Are you ready for your first Arsenal Christmas?" Katie asked as the three of them walked up to the building.

"I'm expecting it to be big. Leah hasn't shut up about it," replied Evie.

"When does she ever shut up?" Beth asked as she fell into step with them.

"Says you!" Leah argued, incredulously.

The day began with a few media commitments. Evie, Beth and Leah had to do a Christmas themed interview.

"If Leah was a Quality Street chocolate, which one would she be?" Beth asked.

"The green triangle 100%. It's actually the only one she'll eat. So bland," Evie laughed.

"They're the best ones, that's why," Leah argued.

"No I actually don't mind that you only eat them because it means that I can have all the good ones."

"Green triangles are good. I will fight that to the death!"

"They're not bad... they're just boring," Evie told her.

"I never knew that a question about chocolate could get so heated," Beth laughed.

"This actually isn't the first time we've had this debate," Leah said, laughing as she remembered the other evening. The two of them were always having harmless debates about everyday things. It meant for a very interesting home life.

Once all their interviews were out of the way they could properly enjoy their Christmas party. It started with secret Santa. Evie had drawn Beth and was rather proud of herself with what she'd bought.

Using a website, she'd designed her own pillow with a ridiculous photo of Beth's face on it. When it had first arrived, it took her and Leah minutes to calm down from laughing so much.

She'd also added a bottle of wine to fill the present up and she couldn't wait for Beth to open it.

They all sat around opening their gifts. Evie was sat with Lotte, Laura and Frida so she didn't actually see Beth's reaction but a loud uproar of laughter confirmed that it was a good present.

Evie opened hers and the first thing was a baby's bib with our kiddo written across the front. It was hilarious and they all fell about laughing. The next gift was a book that all the older members of the team had been talking about so Evie knew that it must've been one of them.

"Alright our kiddo? Like your gift?" Jen asked as she came and sat next to Evie.

"Was that you?" Evie laughed.

"Maybe..." Jen replied, confirming that it was, in fact, her.

Platters of food were put out so that they could all serve themselves. Evie only put a little bit on her plate as despite beginning to get better, big meals were a struggle.
