Connor didn't know what to think.

Almost all of his thoughts were about you - whether they be negative things or positive things. You were confusing to him; a puzzle he could never figure out. A complete enigma.

The relationship you and Connor had was like a love-hate relationship.

You'd always call him late at night, for whatever reason you'd come up with on the spot. You'd subtly flirt with him during the day at the station, and he'd huff an amused breath every time. You'd always act closer to him than you actually were when you were around other people. It was almost like you tried to keep the other girls away from him. You acted like his lover, but you technically weren't in an actual relationship... it seemed to be more of an unspoken and unofficial thing.

The thing about you that infuriated him at times was the fact that you were so difficult. You'd leave him guessing from the way you acted around him; you'd be all over him at his house one day, and the next, you'd act like nothing happened the day before and leave him stressing.

Though, maybe you'd send a wink or something his way the next day at work that would send him into an overdriven mess.

He'd often be unable take his eyes off of you when you strutted through the station with an unmatched confidence that would send any man over the edge, or when they were on missions and you knew what you were doing.

You always knew exactly what you were doing. Especially to him.

You knew it and you loved it.

He wanted to hate the way you made him feel all the time - irritated, confused, and in love all over again - but he couldn't. He'd never admit it, but he loved the way you made him feel.

Before, he'd always sworn internally that he wouldn't engage with you.

However, every time he'd go to Jimmy's with Hank and he saw you with your friends, drinking and moving your body to whatever music was playing, it always seemed to put him in a trance all over again.

     This night was no different.

He was sitting at one of the booths with Hank, this time, rather than the stools at the bar. Those were full.

Connor glanced over at you as you rolled your body subtly with the music. It was almost hypnotic.

You laughed with your friends, taking a swig from the bottle you held in your hand.

Connor took a sip from the glass he had, eyes tracing the curve of your waist that was concealed by only a thin layer of the tight fabric of a white tank top, and what it would feel like under his hands.

He already knew what it felt like, but it didn't hurt to imagine it again.

"Incoming," Hank mumbled into the rim of his glass of whiskey.

Connor was pulled out of his trance by Hank's gravelly voice, and noticed that you were approaching him with a grin.

He tried not to pay too much attention to a certain part of you that moved with the way you walked with that tight tank top on.

He huffed, irritated with his dirty thoughts.

However, he felt your hand slip into his, pulling it away from the glass he'd been previously holding.

You tilted your head, gesturing for him to get up and dance with you.

He sighed and stood, knowing he'd never be able to resist.

Hank let out a low chuckle from behind his glass, earning a glare from Connor.

You pulled Connor to a clear spot, starting to dance with him. He was dancing a little at first, moving a little with the music but he never stopped gazing at you as you moved. Again, he was hypnotized by the stunning but infuriating fluidity of your body as it moved with the beat of the music playing over the speakers in the establishment.

He placed his hands on the small of your waist as your hips moved, and he gazed down at you with half-lidded eyes.

You grinned deviously and placed your arms around the back of his neck, threading your fingers through the soft strands of his short, neat hair. Well, his hair wasn't neat anymore, as you'd already ruffled it up with your fingers and were currently passionately kissing him.

You kept making him want you, over and over, after making him hate you over and over. It was strange, but he didn't care.

Hank had always liked your fiery personality and had often told Connor that you were a keeper despite how infuriatingly difficult you were.

     Connor couldn't help but agree.
