The Doctor walked down the streets of London. Once again finding himself outside of the Powel Estate. He had just finished wrapping up a mystery. But every time without fail if he was in London he'd end up outside of the Powel Estate. Thinking of Rose imagining she was just upstairs with her mum having a cup of tea and listening to her mother's gossip. But alas that wasn't the case.

He sighed taking himself out of his thoughts. When he heard the familiar sounds of the TARDIS appearing. He turned towards the familiar sound confused. Before running off in the direction he normally parked the TARDIS. His TARDIS seemed fine.

However he wasn't expecting to see what looked like another TARDIS appearing just a few feet from his. His eyes widened from the shock. After all his TARDIS was supposed to be the last of its kind. Just like he was.

When the whirling stopped and the TARDIS appeared fully. It seemed to abruptly kick it's passenger out. A small girl with blonde pigtails, pink hoodie and blue jeans. Fell to the ground. She couldn't be more then six. How did she get her hands on a TARDIS or pilot it for that matter? His racing thoughts were interrupted when he saw her land face first onto the ground.

He quickly rushed over to help her. Checking she was unharmed as she stood. "Are you alright? Seems like a bit of a rough landing." He said with a small chuckle through his concern.

The young girl braced herself on his arm that was holding her up and nodded. As she slowly stood up on her own and dusted herself off "I'll be alright. Just wasn't prepared for the landing or the take off for that matter. It's never done that before" she said fascinated with everything. Her excitement overwhelming any concern not paying any mind to her fall.

The Doctor's mind was all over place. After all this child just showed up in a TARDIS, a ship that doesn't exist anymore besides his. Appears out of no where and she just so happened to land in the exact time and place where he was. He couldn't help but think it was almost like this other TARDIS delivered her to him. He then noticed the small backpack that had fallen out with her. Seeming like she had packed for her upcoming adventure.

The Doctor looked at her TARDIS examining it. Seeing it wasn't like the ones grown on his long lost planet Gallifrey. Seeing little differences, it looked like it had been welded in together and hand made.

But why would this space ship made to look like a Gallifrien TARDIS of all things. "This is built? How'd you manage that? Far to young to be building a ship much less flying by yourself." He said before turning back to look at her. "Especially a human child." Realizing he was to distracted to introduce himself he quickly turned his attention to the girl instead of the ship. "Oh sorry, How rude of me I'm The Doctor and you are?"

The little girl looked up at the Doctor. "My name's Mia. As far as my ship goes it's technically my mum's. Well mum's and mine it was a gift from my Uncle Jack when I was born. Though It hasn't flown before now which is simply brilliant. I don't know why it how it took off. ." She beamed from excitement. Her smiled faded as she looked around seeming confused and disappointed. "Though it looks like I didn't get very far, but it doesn't exactly look like home. Kind of different.

The Doctor listened to her curiously trying to analyze the details she had told him to find out where she belonged. "Ah yes I suppose you didn't put coordinates in if it wasn't supposed to fly. You my dear are in London 2012."

Mia looked at him confused before looking around. "That can't be right that's where I just came from. Well it's where I'm supposed to be but this doesn't look like how I left it." Mia thought for a moment. And looked over to the Powell estate. "That's where I live but it doesn't usually look like that" she looked intrigued"Maybe i should check the console? Find out what's different" she tried to open the TARDIS door finding it had locked itself behind her. She tried the door a few times before turning to the doctor. "It's locked me out apparently" she looked at him nervously realizing something is clearly wrong.

The Doctor hummed curiously. "Alright, Do you have anywhere to go?" Mia shook her head looking down at the the ground before back up at the doctor.

The Doctor paused for a moment thinking of what to do from here. He didn't know why but he felt particularly responsible for her. He had to make sure she was safe. After all she is just a human child alone in a strange place."Well then I guess you'll have to stay with me in the TARDIS. Until we can figure out what to do" The Doctor offered his hand out for Mia to take. Giving her a soft smile to comfort her wiggling his fingers to cheer up

Mia nodded taking his hand with a little giggle as she walked with him to the TARDIS. Mia looked a bit confused why his ship looked like a TARDIS. There's only 2 in existence her mums which is a replica of her fathers, and well her fathers. She just added it to the things that are different here.

The Doctor opened the door for her. Mia let go of his hand looking around the console room. She looked mesmerized by the interior of the TARDIS. "Whoa, it's beautiful" It looked just like the stories her mum had told her about. The stories of The Doctor and Rose Tyler, Stuff of Legends. Ironically it wasn't enough for her to put together that this was this 'The Doctor' was the same 'The Doctor' her mother had told her about, Mia's father.

The Doctor watched her reaction and smiled a bit. "I'm sure she appreciates the complement." He said standing at the doorway before making his way to the jump seat "So where are your parents anyway? Certainly they'll be worried you've disappeared on them." He looked at her empatheticly. "You did mention your mum I'm sure she's worried sick."

Mia turned to look at the Doctor. "Hopefully I get back before my mum notices. She thinks I'm out with Uncle Jack. Which I'm not." She half smiled a little. "And my dad, he uh, he doesn't even know I exist. Quite literally actually something happened, He and my mum got separated. He didn't die or break up with her or anything like that. They we're very much in love, great partners according to everyone they we're the best team in the galaxy. Though because of unforeseen evidences they we're forced to say goodbye. She never got the chance to tell him she was pregnant so he has no idea of my existence" she said very calmly trying not to let negative emotions take over hiding behind a cheesy smile. "Though that's ancient history"

Something about what Mia told him about her parents stuck with him. It reminded him about how Rose and him got separated. Does her story sound similar when she talks about him? Did she talk about him at all? He couldn't image what Mia's mother must have gone through. "I'm sorry to hear that Mia" he gave her a sympathetic look.

Mia looked up at him and smiled although it seemed a bit forced. "Don't be! Mum says he would have loved me, if he got the chance to meet me. She says she sees allot of him in me even though I look like a mini her." The Doctor smiled. "I'm sure he would be proud to call you his daughter"

The Doctor looked over to the hallway where the TARDIS had set up a kids room. Right across the hall from his. "Right then." He said getting up. Looks like you've had a long day and judging by your age I think you should be getting some rest." He took her hand leading her to her to new room. "Bed time for little humans. You need about 8 hours of sleep

Mia shrugged "Well only half that. I think it's because I'm only half human. Night Doctor!" She called out before walking into her bedroom. With a upbeat attitude like she hadn't just dropped a big piece of information.

The Doctor was left outside the childs bedroom thinking it over. Hearing the girl say that. "Half human? Hmm" he thought as he walked away into the console room trying to figure out where Mia came from. "What could the other half possibly be?"
