Chapter 7: Family and Legacy

The doctors got back to work after awhile Eleven had found out the problem. "Ah I see the coordinates you set it's a 6 not a 9. See right here" he pointed to it showing Ten. "Ohhh it was so simple" Eleven chuckled "easy mistake."

Eleven froze for a moment. Looking towards the TARDIS door. "You need to hide" Ten looked at him confused. "What?" Eleven quickly shoved him down behind the console. "Just hide" he whisper yelled and quickly ran to the front of the console.

Ten peaked his head out and knew exactly why Eleven told him to hide. As the TARDIS door opened to reveal this universe's Rose Tyler. Holding something bundled up in a blanket. She was as beautiful as Ten remembered her.

Eleven spoke pulling Ten from his thoughts as he quickly ducked back down feeling his hearts race. "Hello darling" Eleven said in a cheery tone trying to hide the fact he was keeping something from his wife.

"How was lunch with your mum?" Rose giggled. "Just fine. She just fussed over this one the whole time." She said looking at the small infant wrapped in a blanket. Eleven smiled at the baby boy. "Well he's adorable and her first grandchild. Only makes sense she would fuss over him" he held the little babies hand smiling down at him.

"Hello handsome" Rose giggled. "He gets it from his dad" Eleven looked at her with a wide smile. "Still getting used to being called that" Rose smiled. "How do ya think I feel? We made this, I'm his mum" Eleven chuckled a bit. "I know, and your an incredible mum at that" he gave her a kiss which she returned.

The little baby started to fuss reaching for Eleven. Rose smiled as they broke the kiss. "Looks like someone wants your attention" Eleven gently took the baby from Roses arms. "Come here Rigel Dad's got you." He smiled at the baby before looking up at Rose. "Whens the last time you got any sleep?" Rose got a bit quiet. Eleven sighed. "Rose you know you can hand him off to me so you can get some sleep. I don't need to sleep as much as you"

Rose whined a little. "I know I just don't want to let him go. And he likes being held a certain way" Eleven smiled. "Yeah he's listening for your heart beat. So if you hold him the other way he's looking for your other heart. And when he can't hear it because humans only have the one. He's gets fussy. Which is why I can hold him facing either way because he can hear a heart beat on both sides"

Rose nodded yawning a bit. Eleven kissed her head. "You should get some sleep. I'll watch him" she interrupted "You sure? You looked like you were working on something" he kissed her forehead. "Nothing I can't handle while holding him. Please get some sleep. I'll wake you up for dinner. Besides me and Rigel could use the father son time, isn't that right Rigel?" The baby giggled.

Rose sighed and giggled in defeat. "Alright, alright I'll go to bed." Rose gave him another kiss as she went to leave. Eleven turned around to go back to the console before quick turning to see Rose. "Oh Rose" Rose turned around "yes?" Eleven looked at her lovingly. "You know I love you right?" Rose smiled brightly. "Off course I do. I love you forever"

Eleven smiled as she walked out. "You can come out now" he said referring to Ten. Ten got up and stretched. Eleven looked at him. "Sorry to have shoved you" Ten shook his head a bit. "No you were right too. It would have been a tad overwhelming seeing her holding a baby." Ten chuckled a bit looking at him.

Eleven pressed something on the console printing some coordinates. "Well you should get back to your Rose." Ten smiled at him. "Thank you." Eleven chuckled. "No problem. You get that little girl back to her mum now."
