"We haven't checked the porch yet have we? Let's go there then!"

You and Len went to the porch, where you saw Neru texting away on her phone. Her constantly-moving fingers stopped the moment she saw you two.

"Oh hey (Y/N), Len. You two look anxious, what's up?"

"We're looking for the bananas that were in the fridge, have you seen any bananas around Neru?"

"Except the one I got from the old lady across the street? Nope, but if you're talking about bananas then I heard Miku saying that she wanted to buy some for her workout regime."

"Miku was that sort of person?"

"Beats me, she was really fired up about it though and then she dashed off to the gym. Oh yeah Len, here's the CD you wanted to borrow."

"Really? Thanks!"

As Neru handed the CD to Len, she gave you a fearful glance. After handing the CD like it was a bomb, she picked up her phone again.

"Do tell me if you find those bananas again though, I think I'll write a fanfic about it. 'The Disappearance of the Bananas'... sounds interesting..."

Neru started to enter her own world of fanfics, so you and Len retreated back into the house. You give Len an incredulous look.

"Neru... writes fanfics?"

"Yeah, she's quite popular online. Remember that light novel you like? 'The Song of the Lonely Nightingale'? She wrote that one."

"Ne-Ne-NERU DID?! Oh my gosh what is with this household, everyone's so talented at something! I feel so left out!"

You look down on the floor and had your head patted by Len. When you look upwards, you saw him giving you a sincere smile.

"You're still one of us, so does it really matter? Just be who you are."

Len's words really did the trick; it lifted your mood a lot. Looking up at Len, you smiled brightly at him.

"Thank you Len, I needed those words."

Maybe it was the light or something, but Len's cheeks were tinted pink for a moment. Noticing your stare, he averted his gaze away from you.

"Eh? Oh it's nothing... So, we go look for Miku?"

"Un!"
