Two Toms?

So everyone this is chapter 7.

I know it’s taken ages to write and it’s not very long but I have truly tried my best with this one and written as much as I can. I really haven’t had the motivation lately so I’m just glad I’ve even managed to write this for you guys.

Hopefully you’ll like this chapter, I know it’s not the best and it’s kind of just a filler but bear with me and I promise it will get more exciting =)

“Hope, are you still there?” He questioned when I was silent for a moment.

“Yeah I am. Where do you want me to meet you?” I asked after a lot of indecision. My curiosity got the better of me and I felt like I needed to go. The urgency in his voice was very persuading and it urged me to go and meet him.

“Meet me on the outskirts of the woods and I will explain.” He said.

“What time?” I questioned hoping that it would be later on in the day.

“10 minutes.” Tom stated and then hung up. 10 minutes really? How was I going to explain to Mar in that amount of time? She’s never going to believe any excuse that I make up and there’s no way that I’m telling her the truth.

After what happened today there’s no chance that she’d let me go on my own.

4 minutes and 26 seconds later I was still trying to convince Mar to let me leave her house by giving her a lame excuse that I needed to get my dad some groceries. I knew that she wasn’t convinced but let me leave anyway.

I felt really bad for lying to her but I didn’t want to get her involved in whatever was going no here. 

It is way too dangerous.

5 minutes later and I was walking along the edge of the woods. I had somehow convinced Mar that I would be alright to leave the safety of her house; I don’t know how though because she is an extremely stubborn person.

There were butterflies in my stomach and I was so nervous about what was going to happen. I had a really bad feeling about this and wasn’t even sure why I agreed to come here in the first place. Maybe it was just closure. I really don’t know.

I finally reached the outskirts of the wood and started pacing back and forth to try and calm myself.

“Snap” I heard the twig snap before I saw the culprit.

Tom.

“You came” He noted obviously.

“Yeah and I would really like an explanation please.” I demanded quietly. The butterflies in my stomach now turned into rhinos.

“Of course but you might want to sit down before you hear this.” He spoke softly as if trying to comfort me. No way was I going to fall for that.

“No I would rather not. Could you please just tell me what’s going on and then I came be on my way, thank you very much” I persisted getting a bad feeling about this and just wanting to go home.

“Okay I’ll explain but just be prepared alright?” He asked

“Prepared for wh….” I was in the middle of asking him what I needed to be prepared for when something came rushing out of the trees and knocked straight into me, winding me in the process. I hunched over holding my stomach trying to catch my breath again but was pushed onto the ground before I could recuperate. I rolled onto my back and caught a glimpse of what had run into me.  I think I had concussion from hitting my head on the ground when I fell but I was sure I was seeing double. There were two Toms but they were blurry so I couldn’t be sure of what I was seeing.

 I could feel myself getting lighter and lighter and my head felt a slight pressure on it.

Next thing I know darkness.

Ugh where am I? I thought to myself.

And why am I so groggy?

“I see you’re awake pumpkin.” A soothing voice came from the door and my heart started hammering in my chest.

I turned around slowly and the sight confused me.

“Tom?” I questioned. I was so confused right now, this was definitely Tom but there was something different about him than what he was like at school. There was more of a glow about him.

“Yeah that’s me, why do you have that confused face on?” He asked. But instead of answering the questioned I changed the subject completely.

“Where am I? What happened?” I asked wanting to feel scared because of the unknown place I was in, but not being able to muster the fear because Tom was in the same room. Somehow I felt safe when I was with him. More so than I did before.

“You’re at my house and for what happened you fainted.” Oh crap not again. Once is ok but twice, jeez he must think I’m such a wimp. I unconsciously frowned.

“What’s the matter pumpkin?” He asked sounding really concerned. He made his way over to me and my breath hitched and the butterflies in my stomach started to go crazy.

“It’s just, that’s twice I’ve fainted around you now and I don’t really want you thinking I’m weak.” I mumbled under my breath hoping that he wouldn’t hear me.

“Huh what do you mean you’ve fainted twice? This is the first time you’ve fainted around me. Maybe you hit your head harder than I thought. Let me see.” He said reaching for my head. As soon as his hand made contact with my skin I jumped away from him.

The sparks they were there and they were stronger than they ever were before. I know what’s happening I just don’t want to admit it. Plus it can’t even be possible he’s not one of my kind.

I was too lost in my thoughts to notice that someone else had entered the room until the smell hit me.

I looked up and there was Tom. I looked to my right and there was Tom again. Holy crap, there’s two Tom’s.

What is happening with my life?

As I said at the start it’s really not the best. But I hope you guys liked it and are looking forward to what’s coming up next.
