You looked over to the man who sat across the table, his face shoved into a book. The expression on him serious as always. You didn't think there was ever a time where you saw him smile, or even laugh for the time you've known him. You decided to change that today. How? Well, maybe a joke wouldn't hurt. Starting off with something like that would be okay, right? "Hey, Haitham," you called him by the nickname you used for him. To which he doesn't take kindly to. "I told you not to call me that." He mutters, an annoyed tone in his voice. Hearing how he didn't like the nickname gave you a much better idea.
Why not tease him with it? Or, just bug him to see his overall reaction will be. "Okay, sorry Haitham." You apologized half-heartedly, a little smirk trailing your lips. His teal eyes shot up from the book he was ready to make direct contact with your (e/c) eyes. Eyelids squinting, brows furrowed. He was frowning. He said nothing about it this time, but you knew that he was a little bit ticked. Alhaitham continued to read his book, find the paragraph and sentence he was on.
So now it was back to sitting across of each other in complete silence. Boring, you roll your eyes and sighed rather loudly. It caught the Scribe's attention, glancing over to you for a mere second before returning to his reading. It seemed like he didn't really care that you were bored and figured you would handle it by yourself. You were no baby, that was for sure. But you were still bored out of your mind, hanging out at his and Kaveh's place with nothing to do but read. Ugh, scholars.... You thought that even Alhaitham would be willing to do something fun. Instead, he's just sitting and reading. Is that all he ever does? "Feeble scholar," yeah right. With another heavy sight, you slumped into your chair, looking around the place to find something that could keep you occupied. And you did. There was a odd looking vase sitting on a table that caught your eye.
Making your way over, you reached out and picked it up, turning it to look at its unique design. The patterns that ran along it. The gradient that went from darkest at the bottom, to lightest at the top. "Haitham, I've got a question," you addressed him, still looking at the vase you were holding. You could hear an agitated sigh from his end, before he spoke up. "What?" You put the vase down and walked up behind him, leaning down close to his ear. "Why don't you like it when I call you by your nickname?" Your voice was low, but curious. The man reading his book said nothing at first, thinking over his answer. But, no response was heard. He said nothing. This amused you, as you stood up straight and leaned against the table by his side. "So you do like it when I call you Haitham?" You asked. No reply once again, only a heaved sigh.
You frowned. That wasn't what you were expecting. "Come on, Haitham!" You moved to lean against his chair from behind. "I want to do something fun for once!" The way you said it was nearly a whine or protest for being stuck here reading. It was almost immediately where the Scribe pushed the chair back to stand, causing you to tumble forward. "Hey! What the hell-?!" You turned around to scold him, only to see that he wasn't anywhere in sight. What the? Where he go?
Then, when you were about to look for him, you were shoved against the nearest wall. The impact made you grunt from pain and the force given. Looking to see who did it, you saw Alhaitham staring dirextly at you. Something glinting in his eyes. He leaned in close to your ear, whispering. "I know a fun activity the two of us can do. One where you'll be yelling that nickname of mine." Your heart pounded against your chest, eyes wide. A coy smile on his lips when he pulled away to look at you.
And it was just as he said. You were practically screaming 'Haitham' to the heavens in his room. He enjoyed every bit of it. It was a filthy hot mess between the two of you. He didn't let up. So many rounds, well into the night. Your hands clawing at his back, leaving scratches. His lips suckling your neck and chest, which was going to let everyone know who you belonged to in the Akademiya. You thought you were going to regret teasing him. Instead, it was the best decision you made that day.
