Run.
Every instinct in your body told you to run. You had to. After what you just overheard from the Yashiro Commissioner.
Don't look back.
You knew that if you looked back he would be on your tail with his subordinates. They were quick. You knew if you looked back, it'd give them the chance to catch you.
Keep going.
Your heart pounded loudly against your chest. You couldn't afford to stop. Not after what you heard, what you then knew about who he truly was. How obsessive he is. You couldn't be with a man like that.
"(Y/N)~~!" His voice rang out from behind you.
Shit.
Keep running. Don't look back. You have to make it to the docks at Ritou. It was the only way to escape him. The only way to be free of who he had become when he met you. But god, were your legs tired, asking for a rest. You couldn't. You won't. Not until you're safely in another nation away from that... man.
Gaurds ahead.
You finally reached the city. "Help! Please!" You cried, alerting the doushin and Electro Archon's gaurds. They rushed to you, asking what was wrong. You couldn't form the words.
"(Y/N), don't run away from me now~ I won't hurt you, promise."
That voice sent chills down your spine. You looked back to find Ayato walking towards you, sword out with that 'gentle' look on his face. An expression he can fool anyone with. But you weren't fooled by it anymore.
You scrambled behind the gaurds, who asked the man pursuing you if everything was okay. But before they could do anything else, they were both stabbed through the chest. Passerby's screamed and ran. Your eyes widened, and you began running again. You had to make it to Ritou. You had to.
A sigh left Ayato, as he wiped off the blood from his face and sword. "There's no use running." He watched you, following behind easily.
Ba-dum ba-dum ba-dum ba-dum.
Heart racing, continuing to pound. The fear that fueled you. The images that replayed as he murdered those gaurds in the street. The way he looked as the bodies fell to the ground. How he kept that gentle expression when following you. It felt unreal.
Ritou in sight.
You saw the maple leaves in the distance. A wave of relief washed over you. You were going to make it. You pushed yourself, running into the town and running passed people and the doushin that were stationed, screaming for help. They were watching you, all confused looks until they saw a very bloody Yashiro Commissioner enter.
The doushin tried stopping him. But just like the others, they were killed off. More blood splattered on his pristine white clothes. He didn't care, though. You were his end goal.
Docks.
There. The boats. Just dead ahead. You nearly tripped running downhill, but you caught yourself. You stepped on the wooden ground and reached out to grab a boat-
It was too late.
He grabbed you and yanked you back. "NO!" You screamed, thrashing around in his hold. He didn't let go. "LET GO OF ME!" Tears ran down your face as you fought against him.
It was no use.
"You didn't really think you'd get away so easily, now did you (Y/N)?" His voice spoke, looking at your failing attempt to get away. You sobbed, wishing that this wasn't real. But it was. And he wasn't going to let you go.
"We'll always be together."
