Chapter Seven - A Party Scene

"You look hot, Invie," Alex complimented me as I walked out of the back lounge in a pair of black waist high skinny jeans, a white, baggy, crop top and black ankle boots.

"Thanks," I blushed as I looked down at my feet.

"Everyone ready?" Rian asked. We all nodded and made our way over to Pierce the Veil's bus. On the way there we bumped into Ceneedra who was heading away from her bus at top speed muttering something about Justin ruining everything.

"There's always drama with that one," Jack said jokingly when she was out of hearing range.

When we got to the Pierce the Veil bus, a large group of people were crowded around outside. Even in the dim evening light I could still make out faces of some of my favourite band members. I saw Amelia talking to Tay Jardine and Jenna McDougall, Vic was talking to Kellin Quinn, Mike was talking to Gabe Barham and Tino Arteaga and Tony was drinking with Justin Hills and Alan Ashby. Also scattered around the place was all the other members of Sleeping With Sirens, Of Mice & Men, We Are The In Crowd and Tonight Alive. I was feeling really nervous.

"Don't worry," Zack said comfortingly, "you'll be fine."

I nodded and gulped. "Can I stick with you for a bit, please?"

"Sure," Zack smiled. Other boys went off and joined their friends while Zack and I hung back a bit. "Do you want me to introduce you to some people?" Zack asked me.

"That would be awesome," I smiled.

"C'mon then," Zack said taking my hand and leading me into the middle of the party.  "Cameron!" Zack called to Cameron Hurley from We Are The In Crowd.

"Hey, Zack, what's up?" Cameron replied with a smile.

"Not much, just introducing my friend, Invie, to some people," Zack replied.

"Hey," Cameron smiled at me, "I'm Cameron."

"Yeah, I know," I said softly. "I'm a big fan."

"That's cool," Cameron said. Before he and Zack started up a conversation again. I stood there awkwardly, still holding Zack's hand. Part of me was really enjoying that because Zack has always been my favourite member of All Time Low but the other part was feeling guilty because I was with Luke.

I subtly pulled my hand away from Zack's and just stood next to him.

"You okay, Invie?" he asked.

"Yeah," I replied, "I'm just gonna go say hi to Amelia."

Zack nodded before I walked over to the three girls.

"Hey, Amelia," I smiled when I got over to her.

"Invie, hey," Amelia smiled back. "Come meet Tay and Jenna."

"Shots!" Mike exclaimed as he brought out a bunch of shot glasses and a bottle of tequila from the bus causing everyone to cheer.

Mike poured the shots and handed them out. I stumbled towards the front of the group to grab a shot. In the back of my mind, I knew I shouldn't have had a shot because I was already past smashed.

"Hey, Invidia," Austin Carlile slurred as he wrapped his arm around me.

"Sup, Carlile," I smiled back at him. Being heavily intoxicated helped with my nerves around all these band members although it may have made me a bit too confident.

"Has anyone ever told you, you're pretty pale?" Austin asked.

"All the time," I responded. "But it's what I get for never going outside."

"Oi, Carlile!" Jack yelled from the other side of our group. "Get your hands off my little sister!"

"I'm not your sister!" I yelled back.

"I know I just wanted to say that!" Jack said as he made his way over to us. "But still, Austin, get your hands off her or I'll call her boyfriend who goes to the gym almost as much as Zachery."

"Sorry 'bout it, dude," Austin said as he took his arm away from my shoulders.

"I think you've had more to drink than me," Jack told me laughing.

"Or I just can't drink as much as you," I retorted.

"Zack's heading back to the bus," Jack said, "I think you should go with him."

"Okay," I said cheerily before walking off to find Zack. "'Ello Zacky poo," I said in a really bad fake British accent when I found him.

"Invie," Zack smiled at me.

"I've come to join you," I told him as we climbed onto the bus.

"Do you want to watch a movie?" Zack asked.

"Sure," I grinned. "What one?"

"What about Despicable Me?" Zack suggested.

"Yes!" I cheered.

We walked into the back lounge and I sat down as Zack put the DVD in. As Zack sat down next to me my phone went off. I pulled it out and squinted to see if I could read the message. When I realised I couldn't, I gave my phone to Zack to see if he could read it.

"It's from Luke," he told me. "It says: 'Alex said you guys were having a party tonight. Hope you don't drink too much lol. Call me in the morning x'."

"Isn't he a cutie," I smiled. "But you're a cutie too."

"And you're drunk," Zack chuckled.

"Just a little bit," I giggled.

"Watch the movie," Zack told me. We got halfway through the movie when I fell asleep.
