(Zoe's POV)

*40 minutes earlier*

"Whore."

Her fist came flying towards my face, but suddenly stopped just inches away.
She pulled her fist back to her side.
Amanda clamped her eyes shut and clenched her fists tightly, being sure to turn her knuckles white.

"I'm not going to hit you, Zoe." She said, her eyes still shut.

"Really?"

"Really."

"Then why'd you come her?" I asked, taking a step closer to her.
"Why did you come here, Amanda? What did you possibly think you would get out of walking into this room? You think you'd be showing me a lesson? Showing me how much Alfie loves you? News flash, Amanda, Alfie doesn't love you. And even if he did, I wouldn't care because he's a stupid prick, and there's no reason for me to be interested in his now gob shit life filled with drugs, alchohol and sluts like you."

I saw a tear slip down Amanda's cheek.

"Are you fucking crying?" I asked.

"Ahem." I heard.
I turned my head to see Alfie standing beside me with his arms crossed.

I froze. In that moment, all I could see was him. All I could see was his sweet, disoriented face that was now so different than the one I originally adored. His eyes red and misty, his cheeks highly contoured, his skin far paler and his mouth curved in an arch rather than a U.
I muttered his name, sure to that he was the only one who heard it.

"Come on Amanda. We're leaving."

Alfie kept his eyes on me, a look of disgust pinned on his face. He grabbed Amanda's hand, leading her out of the room. Suddenly they were gone.

I turned around and looked at Caspar who seemed oddly uncomfortable.
I sighed. He stayed silent and gulped, not moving and still acting strangely uncomfortable.

"What's up with you?" I asked.

He looked down for a moment, then back up at me.

"Oh my god, you twat." I put my hands on my hips. "That turned you on, didn't it?"

He shook his head rapidly. I let out a laugh, giving him a quick kiss.
"Zoe..."

"Yeah?" I replied, wrapping myself in his arms with the back of my head against his chest. I swayed slightly, shutting my eyes and enjoying the music.

"Do you...I mean...you still love Alfie, don't you?" I heard him say. I paused.

"Caspar, I'm with you now."

"That doesn't answer the question."

"Sorry."

I pulled out of his arms and made my way to the counter, pouring myself a drink. Tyler approached me.

"Ah, I see I've spotted a wild sugg, straying from her natural habitat all by her lonesome." He joked, joining me and sitting at the edge of the counter. I took a sip from my red solo cup.

"Good to see you too, Tyler." I chuckled. He smiled.

"So what's up?" He asked.

"What do you mean?"

"You're obviously upset about something."

"Is there reason for me not to be?"

"No, not really. But everyone's acting like there is. You could at least play along."

I chuckled.

"I don't know...I just miss alfie..."

Tyler put his head on my shoulder.

"What about you? You've been going through some shit recently too."

"Ugh, i know right. I think it's a little better...troye and i have some stuff to sort out...and connor, ugh, poor connor...."

Suddenly Troye approached.

"Tyluh! Come on! I wanna daaannce!!!"
Troye said, grabbing tyler's hand and pulling him to the dance floor. He waved at me, then giggled as Troye tugged at his arm and pulled him in to dance.

I grabbed the bottle of wine behind me and took a huge swig, then placed it forcefully back on the table.

"Zoe. What are you doing?" Caspar said. I didn't even realize he had approached me.

"I don't know." I slurred in reply. I decided to play up the drunken sickness, hoping it would make him more accepting and understanding of me wanting to leave.
There was a beat.

He stepped closer to me, placing a hand on either side of the counter i was sitting on and now leaning over me.
He looked down.

"Zoe, i, i love you," he said.
"You love me too, right?" His eyes met mine on "right?". I shifted uncomfortably.

Next thing I knew, I had thrown up all over his shoes.

"Oh, shit, Caspar,"

"It's...it's fine...im, you should probably go back to the room. It doesn't seem like you're really enjoying yourself." I nodded, feeling extremely grossed out by myself. He lifted me from the counter and carried me out of the room.

****

"Alright...get some rest..." He said, beginning to walk out after setting me on the bed. I shut my eyes.
"Im sorry." He whispered.
The door closed.

I opened my eyes and grabbed my phone, immediately ringing Louise.

****

"Im sorry, Zoe. That sounds so awful..."

"It is. God, it really is...i just want to get out of here."

"Why can't you leave?"

"I can't leave Alfie here. I just can't. If he's going to cheat on me and do acid while im here, can you imagine what he'll do if im not? I don't even want to. I miss him so much Louise...

"Well, what about Caspar? Has he been good to you?"

"Mostly, yeah. I mean, he's adorable, and he's a fantastic kisser, and he's really sweet most of the time...but we don't have a connection, you know? Nothing like what Alfie and I have."

"...had."

"Right. Had. Alright, it's late...i'm gonna try and rest a bit. Night Louise."

"Night Zoe. Just one more week. You can make it."

I chuckled.

"You think so?"

"I know so. Oh, and Zoe,"
"Just...just be careful, ok? Be very, very careful..."
She hung up.

Be careful about what?
