(Joe's POV)
January 7, noon

"Well shit." Maddie said, taking a sip from her glass of water and leaning back in her chair. I decided I might as well give her the in depth details of everything that was happening. I trusted her. But maybe that was just because I had no one else to trust.

"So why are you guys still here?" She asked, as if it were an obvious question. I ran my fingers through my hair and shook my head a bit.

"I have no idea." I said.

"I mean," she continued on, "of course I don't want you guys to leave, but i feel like you need to. It'll only get worse from here."

"Yeah..." I started, only to be cut off by the door rapidly swinging open.

"ALRIGHT JOSEPH, YOU AND I ARE GONNA FIX THIS ONCE AND FO-oh."
Tyler's immediate excitement died down when he saw Maddie. He raised his brows. The door pushed open wider, and there was Troye, arm linked with Tyler's.

"Are we interrupting?" He asked.

Yeah. Kind of.

"No, not at all, come in." I said, standing up as they entered the room, "You guys know Maddie..."
She gave a small wave and a smile. They exchanged glances and awkward "hi"s.

"Anyway, what are you on about?" I pushed my fingers through my hair, lowering my voice a bit and stepping aside, in case this was something Maddie shouldn't hear.

"We're going to fix everything." Troye said, excitingly tightening his grip on Tyler's arm.

"Like, correctly this time." Tyler added.

"Tomorrow night, we're talking all this out. Everyone's coming to my room and we're just going to sit and talk. That's it. Im tired of all this angsty impulsive bullshit."
He dropped Troye's arm.

"...so why are you telling me?" I asked.

"We want you to take the guys out tonight-Caspar, Marcus, Alfie...try to lighten them up and maybe bring them together?" Tyler said, hope tinting his tone and light sparking in his eyes, all the sudden making him look undeniable.

"I'm not going anywhere with Caspar." I said, louder than I intended and causing Maddie's head to jerk towards us, briefly making eye contact with me.

"Please," Troye said, breaking me from my split second moment with Maddie, "it's the only way we can work all of this out."

I sighed.
"Fine. I'll talk to them."

Tyler and Troye's faces lit up.
"Thanks Joe!" Troye said excitingly.

"Keep us updated, we're doing our best to clean this all up." Tyler added. I nodded.

After they left I turned back to Maddie.

"So I guess you're not leaving?" She asked, smirking.

"I guess not."
