(P.O.V- Amelia's) -

I ran as fast as my legs could carry me, laughing boisterously as Harry yelled at me for not giving him any warning. I was decently ahead of him, but he was gaining speed. The door to the courtyard was wide open, in the final stretch I ran as fast as I could. Harry's footsteps were closing in. Once I had secured my victory I raised both of my hands in the air to celebrate, with one still holding onto the quaffle.

"I won! Woo!!"

"Not-" "Fair-!" Harry said in-between gasps, his hands on his knees trying to catch his breath.

I let out an airless chuckle, plopping myself on the ground in exhaustion. Letting the ball roll out of my hand I go to lay backward in the snow, only to recoil quickly when I realize that this shirt was not as thick as I remembered. Harry laughed at my mistake, to which I responded to by picking up the quaffle and chucking it at his head. He easily caught it, "Hey! I could take away your house points for that."
"You dare betray your own house?!" I stood back up seeing as he was about to throw the quaffle back at me.

"If it meant taking you down absolutely." He chucked the ball to my left, making me run over to get it.

--------------------------

Time went by fast, between throwing the quaffle around which eventually switched to a snowball fight. Eventually my hands and fingers had gotten too numb to make anymore snowballs, not to mention that my body was absolutely freezing. Turns out that staying out in the snow in only pajamas was totally not the warmest option. There was almost no sunlight left out anyways

We rushed back to the common room, putting the quaffle back where it belonged I quickly kneeled beside the fire, Harry did the same.

"That was fun! Too bad Ron couldn't join." Harry mused.

"Yeah, but I'm sure he's found something to preocc-" An unexpected sneezed interrupted my sentence, "Excuse me. Sorry about that."

"Bless you. Don't go catching a cold now. We should have gotten you a sweater Amelia. I'm sorry it slipped my mind."

"No worries, I'm sure I'll be fine. I should probably go back. Oh no! I forgot about lunch! I really do have to go, goodbye Harry!" Once again I found myself running down the Hogwart's corridors, this time frantically.

The door was unlocked, Severus had charmed it so it would when I turned the handle. My eyes darted across the room in search of said man. The area was quiet. The sound of a crackling fire was barely audible as I looked for Severus in a frenzy.

"Amelia?" My breath hitched, the voice was coming from the living area. He rose from his armchair, setting down the book he was reading. No, this was fine. I'm..I'm safe here, he probably didn't like that I accidentally skipped a meal but he's not going to punish me. At least I hope.

(3rd pov)

Severus set down his book, "Amelia?" When he got no answer in response he looked at the kid curiously, "Amelia..? Are you ok?"

Her deer in headlights look dissipated, gaze defaulting to look anywhere but the potion's professor, "I uh- yes. I'm fine. Harry and I were playing outside and..I forgot about lunch I'm sorry sir."

A look of understanding passed Severus' face, so that's what this is about, "There's no need to apologize for that. You really shouldn't skip meals, I know it's on accident so don't..beat yourself up. I'm not upset, I just want you to stay healt- wait did you say you were outside?!"

Now it was her turn to look confused, "Uh yes sir."

"Amelia it is freezing out! You could get sick!" The man quickly strode over to his office, taking a moment to pick out a vial and go back to Amelia, "Don't be foolish, you're not even wearing any layers. You're going to end up with a cold if you keep doing this. Here drink this, it'll help warm your body and boost your immune system."

The young girl took the bottle and drank the potion, immediately recoiling at the taste, "Sir..this tastes god awful."

"Maybe that will remind you to dress appropriately for the winter. Come, I have dinner ready." Severus wasn't sure why he was so worried over this. He supposed it must be because of his aversion to wanting a sick child around the chambers. He didn't even know how to take care of a regular one let alone one who was snot nosed and spreading germs everytime they coughed.

Their warmed plates were floating down to the small dinner table as he spoke.

"Thank you sir, for dinner and the potion." Amelia spoke up, before drinking a good portion of her water to try and get rid of the nasty medicinal taste.

"You're welcome, but do try and wear the appropriate attire for the weather in the future." He decided to ignore Amelia's habit of being a bit to formal, he wouldn't force her to change if she didn't want to.
