Sonic POV

I..i.can't..breathe at all. I retch as hard as i can but it doesn't even move. I have to do something or i will suffocate right now. Think..THINK! TAILS! I will call him..

I started typing in my communicator and called tails, he picked up soon luckily.

"hello?" he said. I couldn't talk but focus on sneaking some air into my lungs so i can try and cough it up.

"SONIC? WHAT'S WRONG?" he asked panickly. My lungs made some weird sounds as i was trying to get air into it, poor tails was probably shooked.

"HOLD ON, I SAW THE NOTE. I'M COMING" he said one last time and hung up.

I was sitting on the floor totally out of breath. I tried so hard..why doesn't it move.. WHY DO I HAVE TO LIVE WITH THIS? I can't..i can't anymore.
Tails buddy, don't blame yourself.

Then i got dizzy and my vision was blurry. I felt myself hitting the floor, after it all went dark.

"WOAH- sonic! Are you okay? Can you breathe?" i heard someone. I kept gasping for air and i shut my eyes. Then i felt someone rubbing my back..this is similar..shadow?
Slowly i opened my eyes.

"tails.." i said as i saw a yellow blur next to me. I was...laying on a couch, is it my couch?

"sonic please answer me" i heard again. My vision went back to normal by now and i saw that i was in my house. Tails was kneeling on the floor rubbing my back, he was crying..poor creature..

"it's okay now.." i hugged him tightly and i felt my eyes starting to tear up.

"i thought i lost you..you were lucky i was here in time before you completely stopped breathing.." he said.

"wait..how did you help me?" i asked when i realised the situation. He let go of me and wiped his tears, i did the same. He picked up an orchidea with a few flowers on it from the floor. Don't tell me..

"i had some things with me and i was able to pull it out in time" he said.

"was that in..my throath?.." i asked and i started to shake. He nodded.

"sonic, does this have to do anything with the fact that you often cough in the bathrooms?" he asked. He knew...there's no turn back now. I decided to tell him everything i knew about the disease.

"i see..so you're dying everyday.." he asked and i sighed.

"i think my time was up, but you saved me. Still..i don't think i'm ready for what's coming next.." i said.

"let's hope it will be only petals or small flower heads" he told me and handed me a warm liquid, it was tea. I like tea. It calmed my shaking.

"but who is it?" he asked as he sat down next to me. I shaked my head,

"i can't tell" i said. He looked at me worried and also disappointed.

"you seriously think i will judge? You are my brother sonic, i want you to be happy" he said which made me smile a bit.
I was thinking for awhile, what if i tell him? It's not that i'm scared of what he will think, it's just that he might want to help. And if shadow finds out about this, it would be overwhelming for him. I don't want that. It wouldn't even be a honest relationship and i don't think the flower would like it if it wasn't true love. I chuckled, it's funny that i refer to the flower as a person now.

"i just don't want you getting involved more than you are now" i told him. He was sad but i honestly don't want him involved.

"it's getting late, you should head home" i told him.
