Writers' Block

A/N: Wrote this one because I was supposed to be writing something for the school magazine but I had like zero inspirations. I was going through a terrible writers' block then. So I tried to write a poem about it. It's actually a horrible poem but uh hope you like it ig?

I close my eyes, trying to come up

With a good enough ending.

Should it be an open one?

Or one where the protagonist dies?

Or maybe one which circles back to the starting?

Or perhaps an ending,

Which is not even an ending,

But the starting of the next book.

My ears drown out the noise of the world around me,

My heart is rushing,

And my soul so restless;

I just want this to be done and over with.

But also

I don't want it to seem rushed.

Sighing, I cross out what seems like the hundredth edit.

How do they do this?

How do some people write such beautiful books,

With such beautiful startings,

And such beautiful plots,

And such beautiful endings?

Whatever I write never, never seems "good enough".

Bottling down the urge to break out into a weep,

I put my head down on my desk.

I know I have potential, everybody's said that.

I know I can do it. Full stop.

If only . . . If only I didn't have

WRITERS' BLOCK.
