From the abyss of abuse,
Through the roads of hardship,
Emerged a great leader.
A struggling childhood,
But a passion-driven soul,
Emerged a great leader.
Treated horribly,
But out to reciprocate,
Emerged a great leader.
A tough row to hoe,
But that didn't hold him back,
Emerged a great leader.
What is greatness, one might say,
Is it the goodness of the soul?
Or is it merely the depths of character?
Because if so, then even he was a great person.
Successfully managed to influence millions,
Mobilized support during tough times,
Emerged the great leader.
Although his crimes exceeded any other's,
And his attrocities will never be forgiven,
One cannot say that he lacked character,
The great leader:
Adolph Hitler.

I wrote this to emphasize how "greatness" isn't always positive. After all, even Hitler did great things. Terrible, but great....
