You had officially been parents for two whole weeks. The best two weeks of your lives so far. But, also the most tiring. Definitely the most tiring. Luckily, Wanda and Tim had moved back into their Kensington flat for the time-being, so they could help you both out whenever you needed.

Today, you were going out of the house for the first time. Your friends were so excited to meet the baby, and were going to pop over. But, it was a pretty sunny day, so you decided to meet over Hampstead Heath instead.

"Feels weird to have outdoor clothes on." You say to Ben as you walk across the upstairs hallway and into Amelia's bedroom. Ben was already in there changing her nappy.

"Are you daddy's little princess? Yes you are." He cooed as he gently held onto her tiny little feet and playfully moved them about. He then glances over to you, with a huge smile on his face. A smile you have seen nearly fixed on him for these past two weeks. "I know. I can't remember what fresh air feels like." He replies. "I must say though, you are one hot mamma." He continues as his eyes scan your body, then turns back to Amelia and says, "your mummy's beautiful isn't she? Yes she is." This seemed to be how most conversations went now.

"Your daddy's not so bad himself." You laugh as you come up behind him, wrap your arms around his waist and lean your face in the curve of his neck. He turns his face to kiss the top of your head, then turns back to Amelia to finish getting her dressed.

"Aww, she looks so cute." You chuckle as Ben puts her in a safari print romper that he had chosen, along with a matching sun hat. Ben chuckles along with you. "All done, little one." He says as he holds her up carefully and gives her a kiss.

"Let me take her for a moment." You say as you hold your arms out. "Can you go and grab the carrier, please? We need to leave or we'll be late."

"Of course, darling." Ben replies as he passes Amelia to you, then grabs the carrier from the spare room. Walking back into Amelia's room, he pulls the carrier over one arm, before you help to strap Amelia in, then strap it over his other arm, and around his back. "Does that feel secure enough?" You ask as you clip it in.

Ben, who had automatically placed his hands around the back of Amelia, as she snuggled into his chest, replied, "Yes, thank you my love." He then looks down to Amelia and says, "are you cosy baby girl?" As he smiles to himself, feeling utterly content.

You grab your baby bag, then follow the both of them out of the door. Beginning to make the short stroll down to the Heath.
The sight of Amelia strapped to Ben's chest, with her slightly bobbing up and down as he walked, was surely one of the most adorable sights you had ever seen.

"My mum keeps bringing up the wedding." Ben says casually as you make your way down the high street.

You laugh. "I knew that wouldn't take long."

"I know. I keep telling her to give us a chance." He replies, as he moves closer to casually wrap his free arm around your waist. You automatically wrap your arm round his waist in return. "But, no harm in starting to look again, right?"

"Yeah, we can have a look." You reply casually. "I'm just worried I'm going to have about three people on my side."

Ben smiles reassuringly as he says, "my family and friends can just sit on both sides of the church, don't worry. They're pretty much all your friends and family too." Family wasn't a subject that was ever really brought up, and Ben never liked to pry. You had told him your story once, and you had left it there. He's intrigued to know more, but you don't like to talk about how your dad left when you were a baby, and how your mother turned into an alcoholic. By the time you were 9 you were taken away from her and moved into a foster home. Which you were in and out of until you were 18. You've not heard from your mum or dad since. The only good thing to come out of it was Alex, who you had met while you were both in care.
