Sixteen butterflies

~Y/N POV~

The control room is small, dark, stressing. It's only lighted by the countless of huge screens aligned upon the desk. Every one shows a different room, a different corridor, a different place of The Beach. There are only two places that can't be seen by the cameras : the rooftop and the garden. The thing is, the Fire of Judgement is inside the garden. Not being able to see what's happening there is a huge disadvantage.
I'm seating in a chair, carefully observing the screen showing the hall. Chishiya is seating in a chair next to mine while Kuina is staying up, her hands resting on the back of my seat.
Things are starting to go wrong in the hall. Even if the cameras don't bring the sound to my ears, I can hear the shouts of Niragi resonate inside my skull. He's trying to fight everyone, creating panick and discord. He wants chaos to rule The Beach. In this world, he could be the chief, the king of blood and slaughter.
His gun waltzes in the air, aiming at people randomly. I frown everytime, scared of when a bullet will escape and land in someone. His movements accelerate, more and more. If I could see his eyes, I would probably notice their growing madness.
Suddenly, a shot, a blood splatter, an inaudible scream. My body gets up against my will as I watch someone fall on the floor. The genocide has started. All the people in the hall, reduced to my sight as dark pixels, start to run away. Quickly, the panicked silhouettes scatter on the different screens. I can't watch them all.
Kuina lets go of the chair and grabs my shoulders. She rubs them gently, trying to comfort me. We both sigh in harmony.

Kuina : They're all nuts.

Chishiya hums, leaning back in his chair. His eyes follow the path of a pixeled silhouette which I suppose is Niragi's.

Y/N : They've been since the beginning. It's just that now, they have an opportunity to show it.

I cross my arms on my chest, my eyes running from one screen to another. Kuina mutters slowly.

Kuina : Why would they go that far just to survive ?

I hum, even though the answer seems pretty obvious to me. The militants don't want to survive, they want to kill. Everyone.

Kuina : There's no way they'll find the Witch like that !

Chishiya shrugs with a chuckle, resting his arms on the armrests.

Chishiya : The Witch could be you, Kuina.

Kuina and I glance towards him. I raise an eyebrow in confusion ; It can't be her. The murder must have been recent, and Kuina has been occupied for the last thirty minutes. She went to pick me up before we joined Chishiya, and we've been together since then. He's just saying that to tease her, but also to make her aware that she must be suspicious about everyone, him included. Kuina scoffs.

Kuina : The same goes for you, Chishiya.

He hums, playfully raising an eyebrow.

Chishiya : You're right, but aren't you suspecting Y/N too ?

She shakes her head while wrapping her arms around my shoulders.

Kuina : Of course not. There's no way Y/N would have done that.

Chishiya chuckles. His eyes slide to mine, lingering on my features. I shiver to his gaze.

Chishiya : No, she would never.

I raise an eyebrow in confusion. His moves are becoming weirder and weirder. What are you trying to do Chishiya Shuntaro ? What's going on inside your mind ?

Chishiya : But does that mean there's a possibilty of me doing that ?

He's talking to Kuina but is still staring at me. That's disturbing. She snorts with a shrug.
