We were looking around when I noticed boulders on the ground.

I bent down and looked at one.

"Catapults." I said confused.

"What?" Peter asked not understanding.

"This didn't just happen. Cair Paravel was attacked." I explained.

Peter and I went over to the wall where there was a door hidden behind it which led down to our vault.

We pushed the wall away and the door was revealed.

Peter used a knife to cut through the wood of the door so that we could open it from the inside.

Once we opened it Peter starting cutting off some of his shirt. We all looked at him confused as he picked up a stick and wrapped the fabric of his shirt around it.

"I don't suppose you have any matches do you?" He asked me.

"Well no, but..." I said starting to dig through my satchel, "would this help?" I asked holding up my torch, smirking.

"You might of mentioned that a bit sooner." Peter said chuckling.

We all laughed silently.

I turned on my torch and I led the way down the stairs to the vault.

"I can't believe it. It's all still here." Peter said in both shock and amazement as we reached the bottom.

Susan, Lucy and I all walked over to our chests, opened them and starting digging through them.

"I was so tall." Lucy said holding up one of her old dresses.

"Well, you were older then." Susan said smiling at her.

I put on one of my old helmets, which was now way too big for me.

"As, opposed to hundreds of years later... when your younger." I joked at this confusing timeline we were in.

Peter walked towards his chest as Susan was looking for something in her's.

"What is it?" Lucy asked.

"My horn. I must've left it on my saddle the day we went back." Susan said.

Peter opened his chest and took out his sword.

"When Aslan bares his teeth, winter meets its death." Peter quoted.

"When he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again." Lucy finished. "Everyone we knew, Mr. Tumnus and the Beavers, they're all gone."

Lucy's words made us all look at each other, saddened by this revelation. I couldn't wrap my head around it. (Y/n) couldn't be gone. The woman I spent everyday with for 15 years. The woman I fell in love with. The woman I married.

"I think it's time we found out what's going on." Peter said.

I was looking through my chest when I saw a piece of paper.

"What's this?" I asked rhetorically.

It had (Y/n)'s handwriting.

It read:

My dearest Ed,

If you are reading this, it most likely means that our worst fears have come to pass, and the telmeraines have invaded Cair Paravel.
If so, it also means that you all will be confused by the state of Cair Paravel, and why there seems to be no Narnians in sight.
I have made a plan that if Cair Paravel will truly be attacked that I will get as many Narnians as I can away from Cair Paravel, and we will retreat to the Shuddering Woods, where we can hide.
I have so much to tell you Ed.
So much has happened since you left, but I fear it would not be ideal to tell you in a letter.
I will see you soon, no matter how long it seems you have been gone.
I miss you.

Sincerely,
Your (Y/n).
P.S. It's your wife if you have forgotten.

I miss her too.

I hope that I really will see her soon.

My (Y/n).
