We were walking to Aslan's How , I was walking beside Edmund near the back so we could speak alone.

"I'm so sorry." He spoke. This confused, what was he sorry about?

"What do you mean, what did you do?" I questioned.

"I left, I'm sorry I didn't mean to, and if I knew you were pregnant I definitely wouldn't have even let you leave my sight." He responded.

This made me stop in my tracks. "Aww, Edmund, I know you didn't mean to, it isn't your fault." I spoke as I placed my hands on his cheeks.

"Yes but you still had to have a baby and take care of her without me." He spoke sadly, his eyes glued to the ground.

"Well your here now, that's all that matters." I said putting one of my hands on his chin, lifting his head, reverting his gaze so I was now looking into his majestic brown eyes and he was looking into mine.

"What's she like? Elizabeth?" He asked curiously, trying to hide the pain behind his eyes, but failing miserably.

"Well, I think she looks a lot like you." I smiled at him. "She is technically only 3 months old, so all she basically does is eat and sleep, but I've been getting no sleep because she has seemed to turn nocturnal." I chuckle sadly.

"I am so sorry I couldn't be there." He looked at me with those sad brown eyes.

"Hey, what did I say? It's not your fault so don't you ever feel the need to apologise. And your here now, that's all that really matters." I said taking his hand in mine.

I missed him. There's no doubt about that, and taking care of Elizabeth alone, for hundreds of years, was difficult, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.

"Why did you leave Elizabeth in Aslan's How?" He asked, looking back down at me as we started to walk again, hand in hand.

"It's safer for her in there, rather than in the middle of the woods, there are people there who can take care of her there anyways so I know that she is fine there." I explained.

We continued to walk in silence, not awkward silence, it was a very comfortable silence, it reminded me of when Edmund and I would go on walks together in the golden age.

We reached the wide plain leading to the How and I heard Lucy gasp as she saw it. As we were nearing we could see the centaurs starting to line up at the sides of the entrance.

The six of of us walked to the path leading to the entrance and stopped just before walking past the centaurs.

They raised their swords and made a passageway for us. Edmund, Susan, Lucy, Peter and I all started walking again, but Caspian remained still and let the 5 of us walk alone, him following behind.

"A bit higher little one, there you go." I said to one of the young centaurs who was holding his sword too low down, giving him a soft smile.

We then entered the How.
