Katsuki was twirling his drumsticks around, leaning back on Jirou's bed. Repetitions were starting to ramp up now that the festival drew near, but that didn't mean they couldn't have breaks in between. Like right now, when Jirou had headed downstairs to get some water and snacks and they were left to chill in her room.
"Man, not to sound mean or anything, but having Jirou here is..." Denki groaned, falling back on the bed beside Katsuki. "I don't know... Restricting? It just sucks she doesn't know, you know?"
"We'll get there," Momo promised. "Remember what Izuku told us. The festival is a milestone for her, and it could potentially be the core memory that unlocks the rest of her memories."
"I know, it just sucks," Denki whined.
"Get over yourself, you fucking baby," Katsuki huffed, looking across the room at Fumikage, who'd been messing up all morning. "And what the hell's got you so damn distracted, bird boy? If you mess up again, I'm seriously gonna explode your ass."
"He's right, you seem rather distracted," Momo agreed.
"Everyone has their off days," Fumikage grumbled.
"Yeah, like I'm supposed to believe that shit," Katsuki said, throwing one of his drumsticks towards him. Dark Shadow was quick to react though, swatting it away before it could hit Fumikage. "If you don't admit it, I'm calling Hawks."
And oh, the look on his face right now was absolutely priceless. Ever since they interned together, they'd gotten closer than they would've in their previous lives. Their mentors had picked up on that, too. They were like a friend group now, to be honest. It wasn't weird seeing as both Katsuki and Fumikage were mentally in their twenties and it helped that both Mirko and Hawks actually treated them like proper heroes. But then again, they were still teasing pieces of shit, Hawks especially, and Katsuki knew damn well what kind of power he held right now.
"You wouldn't dare," Fumikage said.
"Wanna bet?" Katsuki asked, taking out his phone for him to see. Denki let out a long and teasing oooooohh, now totally invested in whatever this new drama turned out to be.
"I'll never forgive you," Fumikage warned.
"I can live with that," Katsuki shrugged, tapping into Hawks contact info. "Only a button away now, so you better start talking."
"Katsuki, this isn't-" Momo sighed, deciding it was better to step in now than face the consequences of this whole fiasco later. Hawks could be a lot, even she knew that much.
"No, no, no! I wanna see how this plays out," Denki interrupted, waving with his hands around as if that would ward off Momo's interference. It worked, surprisingly enough, because Fumikage simply sighed and hid his face in his hands.
"...I might've, sort of, uhm, kissed Yuga," he admitted, instantly silencing the whole room. That was until-
"WHAT?!" Denki screamed, instantly shooting up from the bed, staring wide eyed at their class goth. "Oh my God! Wait, are you guys getting back together?! Oh my God! I- I have to tell EVERYONE like RIGHT NOW-"
"Hold your horses, dunce face," Katsuki hissed, grabbing his wrist so he couldn't text the damn alliance group chat over some love drama. "I thought you said getting back with him would only end in disaster?"
"I'm not getting back together with him," he stated, earning a look of disbelief from pretty much every person in the room. "What? I'm not! I didn't lie to you back then, Katsuki. I'm serious about this."
"If you say so," Katsuki frowned.
"So why did you kiss him, then?" Momo asked, confused by the contradictory information that was given to her. "Don't get me wrong, I respect your decision completely, certainly when knowing how your previous relationship ended, but I fail to understand why you would kiss him."
