LIFE OF HANEUL
Haneul pov
I groaned as I tried turning my body on my small bed. Last night was very tough for me. Ethan told my step dad I stole his diamond watch and my step dad didn't take it likely. Is not like am surprised, this is what I have been experiencing since I was five.

Am being treated like a servant, noone cares about me of how I live even my own mom hates me . I don't know what I have done to deserve this.

"Haneul, you brat you better be down stairs in the kitchen before I come get you myself" Mr Helena the head house maid shouted from down stairs

Yes, shocking even the maids abuse me any chance they get. I sighed as I managed to get off my bed and made my way to my small bathroom. My bedroom is not big, it is more like a store room

His bedroom

I quickly took my bath and got dressed
HIS OUTFIT

I ran down the stairs with fear of being beaten again if am late. As soon as I got to the kitchen and I was greeted with a slap on my face

"You are late again,all you know is how to eat and sleep you useless waste of space" Mr Helena screamed at my face.
I looked down at my feet while trying to hold in my tears.

"Am sorry" I mutter softly while wiping my tears
"Sorry for your stupid self get to work" she said as she pushed me down
"Foolish child" she continued her verbal abuse and then left me alone in the kitchen. I sat down on the floor for some time before getting up to prepare breakfast

"When you done clean the entire house " cherry one of the maid said looking at me in pure disgust and then left,I cried I was even below the maids in the house. I soon finish cooking and set the dinner table, I am only allowed to eat leftovers and if there is no leftover then I Will have to stay hungry and also am not allowed to eat at the dinner table, I eat in the kitchen on the floor with no plates.

I went to the cleaning supplies room to get the necessary supplies to get started on cleaning the House

After some hours I was done cleaning and returned the supplies back to the room . I went to the kitchen to check for leftovers
"I guess am staying hungry today" I said as I noticed there was no leftover. I turned to leave the kitchen only to bump into Ethan
"Watch where you going you ugly duckling" he said while using his hands to wipe the spot I bumped like he was touched by trash

"Am sorry" I said looking down
" Whatever" he said and pushed me out of the way. Feeling exhausted due to lack of food and cleaning, I decided to take a nap. I slept for three hours, I looked at my cracked screen phone to see I had missed calls from Lucas and Aurora. Lucas is my best friend and Aurora was my girlfriend. Two of them were the only ones that cares about me although they don't get along. I decided to call Lucas first
On the phone

"Hey" I said
"Finally, I thought those evil people had killed you" Lucas response
"I was so tensed cos you were not picking up your calls"he further continues
"Sorry I was asleep" I said in a low voice

" Han,have you eaten"he asked
I was shocked "does he knows I have not eaten" I thought
"Han are you still there" I heard him asked

"Uh ...yes I Am"
"Good I asked if you have eaten?"he asked again
I nodded my head yes until I realized he can't see me
"Yes I have" I lied
"Don't lie to me Han I Know you have not eaten" he said in a disappointing tone. I suddenly felt ashamed and tear almost fall from my eyes
"Han come over to my place"Lucas requested

"No I can't you Know I can't leave without permission" I said as I remembered the last time left without permission I was brutality punished
" So are you planning to stay without eating" he asked
"Lucas don't worry about me like this is not the first time" I said, I have gotten used to it. It wasn't a big deal
"But Han..."
"No buts ok we'll talk later I have to call Aurora" I interrupted him
"Ugh I don't like that girl" he scoffed
"Bye Lucas" I hung up before he could said anything.
After three rings, Aurora picked up
"Hey Aurora how are ... "
"Let's break up Haneul" she interrupted me with heart breaking words .
" What" I managed to cough out
" Are you deaf I said let's break up am tried of this boring relationship" she said in a sharp tone
"But I didn't do anything wrong" I cried out
"Oh please,I never liked you I only dated you just to get close to your bother now that he noticed me I don't need you" that was the last thing she said before hanging up. I was heart broken I thought she cares about me but I guess I was wrong. Maybe I was meant not to be loved.

I cried myself to sleep,when I woke up it was already dinner time
"Oh no i over slept and I was supposed to prepare dinner. They are going to kill me" I quickly ran down the stairs only to find mom,stepdad and Ethan already eating " that's it am dead" I slowly walked to the dinner table and greeted them
"Goo..d evening sir and madam" I wasn't allowed to called them mom or dad none of them answered me so l look at Ethan and greeted him too
"Good evening mister Ethan" still yet no response from either of them. I stood there and waited till they were done eating and again they left nothing behind. My stepdad dropped his utensils and used the napkin to wipe his mouth then glared at me
" You were supposed to prepare dinner" I stiffed as I heard his tone
"Am sorry I overslept" I said shaking. The next thing I know I felt a sharp Pain on my face. I just got slapped

"You ungrateful brat. I fed you, clothed you and provided shelter for you And this is how you repay me" he said furiously
I held my face and looked down
"Look at your good for nothing son" he said looking at my mom
"I only have one son and that's Ethan" my mother said looking at me with nothing but hate. This is not the first time she has denounced me but it's still hurt every time

" You are sleeping outside tonight" my stepdad said in a final tone
"But ....it...it..it snowing outside" I said but I was slapped by my mother
"We don't care get out now" she yelled at me. I walked away with my head down and tear running down my face. As I was about to open the door I saw Mrs Helena stand there with a frown on her face while holding a bowl of water

"This is my own little punishment for you" with that said she poured the cold water on me And pushed me out the door. It was freezing outside,I was wet and the weather wasn't helping I soon turned pale and started shivering" was this how am going to die" I thought. I slowly started losing my sight and fall to the ground. The snow was cold on my body cos of the thin clothes. Everything slowly turned black.
