CHAPTER 6

MEETING THE EX
Haneul 's pov
"Here is your coffee"I shyly said, placing the cup of coffee on the table and left bowing. I have been working in the cafe for three weeks now, it has been nice, although the pay isn't high but I guess it is something.

"Haneul you ok? You look lost"Clara asked, she is the lady at the counter. She is married and has two adorable kids, she taught me everything I needed to know,how to work the coffee machine to how to clean it as well. She has been an awesome friend and helper, she is the only friend I have aside Lucas for some reason nobody seem to like me. But I don't mind beside I got that alot at home.

"Yes,am fine just thinking" I smiled at her and she smiled back at me holding my shoulder
"Don't be scared to tell me anything,am willing to help you ok" I nodded smiling at her and thanked her. She smiled and went back to the counter

Few minutes later,Clara called me to the counter
"Can you please attend to table 6"I nodded,walking to table with my notepad and pen
"What can I get you guys?" I asked quietly but enough for them to hear .
"Haneul" wait I know this voice . I looked up too see Aurora and her friends Bianca and Chelsea well this is unexpected.

"Wow,Aurora you never told us your boyfri.... Oh sorry ex boyfriend works as a waiter" Chelsea said looking at me with total disgust. I looked down at my feet fidgeting with my notepad and pen.
"I didn't even know he works" I heard Aurora said with an uninterested tone.
"I only used him to get to his brother and beside we never did anything nor went on dates. We just spoke on the phone and nothing else" Aurora said I could feel her eyes on me "And we have only see each other during Ethan birthday party and then I fell in love with Ethan" she said the last part dreamily
" Awwwn"both her friends said smiling. I remember the birthday party, that was the only day I was allowed out of the house and that was because I was made to serve drinks that day and that was how I meant Aurora and her friends.

" I thought he was going to be helpful but this trash don't even lives like a family instead he lives like a maid but thank God Ethan noticed me himself" Aurora said and her friends laughed. I summon courage and looked at them, raising my notepad and pen to write down their orders "wh...at d..o y...ou wa...not I stuttered I guess my courage wasn't enough to stand up to them . The girls whispered among themselves before Aurora looked at me

"Get us black coffee with no sugar and some biscuits"I wrote the order down,and left to get the order ready. I soon returned with a tray in my hand containing their coffee and biscuits
"Here you go" I serve them, I was about to leave when Aurora requested I stay, I didn't want trouble so I stayed. The girls slip their coffee and then the three of them spat it out
"What the hell is this?" Chelsea yelled looking at me with deadly eyes. I was shaking because of the scary looks throw at me.
"Hmm b..lack co...ffee" Aurora hissed at me angrily
"Why is it without sugar.we asked for sugar"?.

"They did I don't remember that, they clearly said no sugar" but I didn't want any trouble so I decided to apologise and get them new ones.
"You brainless fool" bianca said, she took her cup of coffee and pour it on me.

"Ahhhhhh!!!!!" I screamed,the coffee was so hot and it burnt my skin,tears rolled down my cheeks "it hurts alot"I kept crying while Aurora and her friends laughed at me.
"What is going on here?" I heard Clara asked
"This fool here got our order wrongs so we disciplined him since you can't"Aurora said proudly. Clara looked at me clenching the burnt area and then realized the so called discipline they bestowed upon me. She turned to the girls with a gloomy expression.

"You have no right to discipline any worker here" the girls laughed not taking Clara serious.
"Oh, please you should thank us" Clara smirked looking at them with a strange look
"Oh I will" she picked one of their cups and spilled it on Chelsea thigh since she was the closest
"Ahhh!!!" Chelsea screamed, standing up quickly.
"How dare you?"Aurora and Bianca both stood up too trying to smoothen Chelsea pain. Clara shrugged, holding my hands and dragging me to the staff room, leaving the girls screaming and swearing.

"Here, this will help with your burn" she gave me a tube like cream . I nodded and went to the bathroom,took my shirt off and looked at the mirror, the skin on my chest was red I slowly applied the cream on the burn,I hissed any time the cream touched the burnt surface, I wore my clothes back after applying the cream. I went out of the bathroom, Clara was still there waiting for me.

"So what happened?" She asked. I sighed and explained everything to her by the end of my story, Clara looked like she wants to kill someone .
"Those bitches I should have spilled all their coffee on them" she hissed angrily. She suddenly looked at me like she just remembered something"how do you know them?". I silently looked down playing with the edge of my sweater
"Hmm I used to date one of them"Clara looked disappointed and sighed.

"Well it's a good thing you guys broke up. She is not the one for you and she is nasty"I laughed at the face she made when she said nasty, she looked at me sadly

"Haneul you should laugh often it suits you beside that bitch isn't worth it"I cringed at the word she used to describe Aurora, swearing is really not my thing.
"I don't like that b-word " Clara looked at me like I said something wrong"you mean bitch" I vigorously nodded my head "I don't like swearing".
Clara laughed pinching my cheeks"you are so cute"
"Ouch" I said rubbing my cheeks, Clara smiled at me holding my hands.
"Come on let's go back to work"I nodded skipping all the way to the counter with Clara laughing beside me "I love my job".

"Goodbye hope you have a nice day" I said to the last customer smiling.
"Thanks sweetie. I hope you have a nice day too"the lady said,she brought out some cash from her purse and handed it to me "here you deserve it" I immediately give her back the money
" Thank you ma but I don't need it" I said politely not to get the lady feelings hurt.
"Nonsense you deserve if for your good works and don't think of rejecting it again" before I could said anything she left, keeping the money on the table. I sighed and took the money

" Well this will help me complete my payment. Thank you Mrs" I said happily.

(Outside the cafe)
The lady was on the phone
" I think I have find our guy but I need to observe him for sometime".
The caller at the other end smiled saying
"That's good can't wait to see the look on a certain someone's face"

"Me too" the lady said smiling.
