THE NICE LADY

Fours days since the incident,Am still trying to recovering from they beatings. My back was full of whip marks and it's still hurts alot and it's still red.

This past four days has been hard for me, Aurora is now staying in the mansion,Mr Colombo and his wife had accepted her into the family.

"What can I get you sir"I said softly to the man dressed in rich clothing,since I have been taxed higher than usual,I have taken extra shifts so that I can meet up with my bills. I haven't eaten any solid food for the past days not even leftovers.

The only thing that has been substaining me right now are pastries and Sweet from the cafe. All my money and tips goes to the Colombo's family.

"Get me a ice latte" the rich man said rudely without looking at me.
Are all rich people snub" I thought
"Ok sir, I will get it ready" I said with a small smile

After servicing the rich man,I went back to wash the dishes since they were few customers to attend to.

"Haneul" Clara screamed my name excitedly, walking towards me.

" What happened?"I panic ,am i getting fired? No, I can't get fired. If I get fired, I will become homeless I silently cried inwards.

"I talked to madam joy and she agreed to add your blueberry muffins to our menu" Clara said smiling at me.

I sighed, placing my hands on my chest feeling so relieved. I soon smile when I processed what she just said,I was so happy,I have always love cooking and baking since I was five.

I also wanted people to taste my cooking and see the look of satisfaction on their faces but sadly that can never happen thanks to the Colombo's family.

But now, thanks to Clara people can now enjoy my baking
" Thank you so much Clara" I said bouncing on my feet due to over excitement,Clara laughed at my silliness.

"Have I told you how adorable you are?" She asked pinching my cheeks. I playful glared at her holding my cheeks she pinched.

"Oh even your glares are so adorable" she said holding my face in her palm making baby sounds
"Stop" I whined, pushing her hands away from my face. She laughed.

"Oh before I forget someone asked to see you" I stiffed, who is it? I hope it isn't Ethan or his friends. I haven't done anything wrong or haven't I?. Oh God let it be some random stranger.

"Haneul are you listening? You look like you have just seen a ghost"she said concerned.

"Y-yes where do I meet this person?" I asked feeling uncomfortable.

"Table 4"she responded still looking worried about my behavior. I nodded my head at her,I clean my hand with the kitchen napkin, And walked out to table 4.

As I got closer to table 4,I saw a lady well dressed sitting alone, she looks so familiar I think I have seen her before but I can't say where?. I finally got to the table

"Good day ma,you asked for me"I said trying my best not to stutter.the lady raised her head and looked at me with a smile

"Yes, please sit"
I immediately shook my head
"Am sorry ma but I can't, it's against the cafe policy for workers to sit with the customers"

The lady laughed, slipping her coffee which I didn't notice at first.
"Don't worry I have spoken to madam joy and she said it was fine" she knows madam joy?

After fighting with my inner self,I hesitately sat down oppose her.
"I hear you made this" she said picking the blueberry muffin on the table. "Gosh I did not see that? Am I blind now" maybe all this year's for maltreatment has finally made me blind.
