'Now what?' Darlence was angrily pacing up and down the room.

'Dunno.' Said Sherrinford.

'She's awfully criminal. Couldn't I have a good old time in Kent without having to come across psychopaths? And getting horribly involved in crimes?'

'The old saying holds true, " Adventures come to the adventurous, Dangers come to the dangerous". It was my fault I took you there. Leave the thought and let it be.'

'And leave that old hag to kill you? No sir.'

'She isn't old. And otherwise Sherlock will be harmed.'

'Why didn't you give her up to the police?'

'She'd be hanged then, yes.'

'But you have evidence.'

'And a lot of it.'

'Then why don't you?'

'I-'

'Yes?'

Sherrinford began humming evasively. Darlence grinned, 'Aha!'

'What aha?'

'I see it clearly now.'

'What?'

'Its plain as day.'

'What is?'

'Plain as the nose on your....'

'Dear Lord! I have to get you out of quoting Sherlock every bloody time.'

Darlence finally grinned the face splitting grin of hers, ' You love her, don't you?'

'Love her? I think not.' He replied awkwardly.

'Don't lie.'

'I don't love her.'

' "I swear from my part whatever I may do

You'll never hear me say; I love you" ' she sang teasingly.

'Why should I love her?'

' "Taking your heart as your guide

You- You alone must decide" '

'Eh?'

' "Always ask your heart, hearts can never lie

Love alone can show the way.

When you ask your heart, hear your heart's reply

Be-" '

'I compliment highly on your tenor operatic skills- but why should I love a criminal; that is the question.'

'And quite a fair question; I assure you. Why did Sherlock love Irene Adler?'

'Dunno.'

'Neither do I, that's why I asked.'

'I should have let you drown that day.'

'But you hadn't; and here I am; and I have a plan.'

'What sort exactly?'

'The lesser you know, the safer you are.'

'I forbid it.'

'I overlook your forbidding.'

'It could be dangerous.'

'It is dangerous.'

'Then I order you not to do anything about it.'

'I have a tendency to go against orders.' she stretched, 'And I'll very much like a stroll outside.'
