REUNION (And caring is not an advantage but it isn't a disadvantage either)

[ A/N: Well I'm updating after such a long time, I feel like a beast at this moment- but I have been very busy for a long time. Brushing lightly by that I am honoured to dedicate this chapter to emperorbooks I mean she is an amazing person, please follow her. This chapter was not exactly in my mind so thank you for giving me an idea, mate. EEEEEENNNNNJOOYYYY!]

The van stopped at some point, and the three Holmes listened intently for a sound or two ( most of the time Darlence and Sherlock glared at Sherrinford with a decidedly clear threat about the dire consequences if he dared to be wrong). The doctor however had decided if this was the end he would spend it thinking quietly to himself all he did wrong and all people he killed in his "bad days", quietly repenting. The door opened the people inside the van blinked momentarily when a tired voice spoke up, 'Well I highly doubt that the four of you would not like to turn in and have a little hot cocoa.'

'I see I wasn't wrong.' said Sherrinford self-contentedly.

'Lucky for you.' Sherlock and Darlence murmured in unison.

Dr. Watson stumbled out blinking more intensively

'Do you three wish to settle permanently here?' The tired voice spoke up again, 'I could make arrangements.......in that case.'

Hearing that Darlence bounded out, Sherlock helped Sherrinford up and exited the van in a less ceremonious manner.

Mycroft stifled a huge idiotic grin that lurked around the corners of his mouth as he saw his younger brothers climb out of the damned van. There was no denying how pleased he was to see all three of them back; alive and kicking- especially for the one brother he thought he had lost and had often blamed himself for not having stopped it from happening. He sighed with a ghost of a smile that did not go unnoticed by the concerned party and extended a warm hand.

Sherrinford grinned at him wanly and shook his head, 'You may wish to think that you act exceptionally well, but you don't.' he commented, 'I suggest you take that grin off and try again.'

Mycroft couldn't help the next smile that lighted up his whole face after hearing the comment, 'I see you haven't changed much, just the same old chap all over again.'

'And if it hadn't been for me, you would have never seen him again.' piped up Darlence Vain Holmes, 'I deserve a blighted treat.'

'Just because of the adjective you used, you lose the treat I thought you deserved.' said Mycroft helping Sherrinford in with gentleness alien to him, into the house.

'I did not use- ' Darlence began.

'Not lying now are we?' Sherrinford asked her.

Darlence looked betrayed, 'I thought you were in my team!' she remarked indignantly.

Thoroughly refreshed (and might I add relieved?) the good doctor laughed at the antics of the Holmes, even as the shouts of, 'I need a treat' filled the house like protests of unhappy citizens in a strike.

[A/N: Rather like an one-shot, hope you liked it]
