Sunstreaker had been in the pits for a long time the only the only thing that made the cold dark pits worth anything was his split-spark twin Sideswipe though as they grew Sideswipe's metchling frame just couldn't keep up Sunstreaker could feel how Sideswipe's spark strained against the small cramped spark chamber till it nearly gave out but Sunstreaker wasn't ready to lose his only reason for living so he opened his own spark chamber and shielded Sideswipe's spark within his he could feel Sideswipe as his spark rotated next to his own though it never grew a spark could not mature without a frame so as Sunstreaker grew Sideswipe stayed the same Sunstreaker swore to get Sideswipe a frame that could protect him that wouldn't cause strain on his small spark, then the war happened with materials low and energon even lower, neutrals and youth sectors being targeted by decepticons Sunstreaker was left to hide and protect Sideswipe within his spark chamber from the war, the decepticons, and even his own team.
