"I am trying my best. But things are not going to work out with just me trying and no one else. Something is wrong with Stefan. Something is really wrong with him."
Three days had past since the incident, neither Elena or Eden had heard from Stefan except one voicemail he left earlier saying he was busy and he'll explain later. Eden felt bad about shouting and yelling at him the other day but she did not think about it much after getting his message. That day, Eden had just woken up when Elena came inside her room. "A knock would have been nice you know." Eden said sarcastically.
"Do you know what's going on in our brother's bedroom?" Elena asked. Eden rose her eyebrows sitting up. "No, what's going on?" Eden asked. "It's Vicki." Elena said getting on her bed. "No way, really?" Eden asked grinning. "Yeah, I saw her at the sink." Elena said. "She's here right now?" Eden asked. "Yes!" Elena exclaimed in a whispering voice. Eden smiled at her sister and laid back down. "What? You're okay with it?" Elena asked. "I was the one who asked him to get a girlfriend in the beginning of the year El. It's no big deal if he's happy." Eden said. "Let me finish my sleep please." She added.
"You are miserable. You didn't sleep so much before." Elena said. "You mean when I woke up all of a sudden feeling like I was drowning? Yeah I used to wake up early and didn't go back asleep." Eden pulled her blanket. "You never told me." Elena said. "You were so much more miserable than me. Now go away and shut the door." Eden said with a groan. "We have school." Elena said. "Five more minutes." Eden said. What she did not notice was the playful smirk on Elena's face.
Elena pulled the blanket over Eden. "Hey!" Eden shouted at her sister. Elena laughed. Eden stared at her for a bit. "Why can I never stay mad at anyone?" She groaned. "Come on get up. Time for school." Elena said as she pulled her hand to get her off of the bed. "Yes mom!" Eden said with sarcasm and got dressed for the day. In the kitchen she found Elena talking to Jenna.
"So you're actually going to do it. You're gonna go out with Logan?" Elena asked Jenna. "Wait really?" Eden asked. "Mhm...I'm going to show up and torture him, yes. And have either of you heard from Stefan?" Jenna asked. Elena's face fell. "Not since he left that very vague message three days ago." Eden told her. "Hi, um, Elena and um, Eden, I, um, have something I have to do. I'll, uh, explain in a few days." She said copying Stefan's voice. "Haven't you called him?" Jenna asked the twins. "Nope, not going to either." Elena said. "And you're okay with everything?" Jenna asked.
"No, I'm not okay with any of it. But, I'm not going to cry about it either. You know, I was going to write in my diary this morning and then I thought what am I going to write? Honestly, I'm not going to be one of those pathetic girls who world stops spinning because of some guy." Elena said and walked out of the kitchen. "Eden, he's your best friend. Are you sure you were okay with that vague message?" Jenna said as Elena left. Eden looked down then back to her. "I don't control his life. He can do whatever he wants. He said he'll explain later so he does owe me an explanation but I'm not going to call him and be the clingy best friend." She told her aunt.
