"Did you find your wasp yet?" Asked Tasha. Joseph sighed. "No, I didn't. It's still missing."
"Sounds like a skill issue." Said Tasha, laughing. "It's not my fault." Said Joseph. "Apparently, my wasp is part of a set."
The bell rang before Tasha could respond, and they started walking towards class. Someone tapped Joseph on the shoulder and said, "hey, I need your help." Joseph turned around. It was a guy who seemed unsettled, and even more so when he saw Joseph's face.
"I asked around, and I was told to go to you. They said you could help me with stuff."
"Like what?"
"Like why I'm here, and what's going on."
"Ok, hit me with your questions." Said Joseph. "Well, first off..." he began. "Why am I here? What are wasps? Why is everything trying to kill me? Am I already dead? Is everyone here dead?"
Joseph took a second to think. Then, he responded: "that's to be determined by your wasp; They tell the story of the person they belong to, before they person died; Monsters are quite common here and are often very aggressive, especially in the Great City; yes; and yes."
The guy took in the answers, not knowing what to say. "What do I do now?" He asked. "You wait for your wasp, like me." Said Joseph
"How long will that take?"
"I don't know." Said Joseph. "I've been waiting for mine for a while though."
"How long have you been waiting?" The guy asked. "Better not to tell you." Said Joseph. "But while you're waiting, we can go to classes as this school."
"No thanks," he said. "After already going to school for 12 years, I'de rather not."
"It's a different kind of school." Said Joseph. "Just come with me." They headed down the halls of the school. They were weird and winding. "So what's your name?" Asked Joseph.
"Xavier."
"Nice. I'm Joseph." They became silent. Eventually they stopped at a door. '712' was the number on the door. "This is a class for people like you." Said Joseph. "People who don't know about this world. It'll teach you a lot. Ya know... if you want to take this class. Honestly, nothing is stopping you from leaving and jumping into that void. I don't see why you would, but..." he stopped talking. Xavier walked into the room, and shut the door behind him. Joseph sighed. He started walking towards his class. Halfway there, he stopped.

"You know what, fuck it."

He headed to the admin room and walked right in. He wanted something to happen. Something to change. Instead of just sitting around waiting for his wasp. He couldn't leave. He couldn't die. He couldn't even pass time by getting caught by Mary. He went to the crafting room. He grabbed his T-shaped tool, the item he made with a mix of both magic and science. Something made for anything and everything, yet he used it for nothing. He left the room, ready to use it. He waited for class to end, then waited for Tasha and Basil. Neither of them showed up. He looked for Xavier. He wasn't in the class. He sighed, and left the school. He thought about his situation.

He'd been here for eleven and a half years. Not even normal years, dawned years. It was so stupid that they made the years twice as long. The second half is so depressing, with how little happens then. And now, New Dusk Day was coming up, and no one was happy about that. Yet he's seen eleven of them. And nothing has changed.

He looked up. The metal cart was in front of him. He must have been on autopilot, and walked to it. He got on. "Wait!" He heard a voice behind him. The cart began to move. "Wait, let me on!" Joseph held out his tool, and the fox grabbed onto it. With the fox's help, Joesph pulled him in. "Thanks." He said. "No problem, Mosh." Said Joseph.

Joseph pulled out his phone, and began looking through social media. "How'd you get that?" Asked Mosh. "This?" Asked Joseph. "I had it when I got into this world. It has a slight connection to the living world, but I can't actually interact with them. It's a view only thing."
"Oh" said Mosh. The cart reached the other side, and they both got off. "So where are you going?" Asked Joseph. "To the Silent Falls." Responded Mosh. "Can I join?" Asked Joseph. "Sure."
