Joseph was sitting in the train, heading back to Cheshire City. He was the only one in the train car, which he couldn't forget. Mosh had died to Mary. And now, he was probably never going to see him again.
He wasn't coming back.
He was past his expiration date, and he died. It hurt, the fact that all Mosh wanted to do was escape the Dawned Zone. And now, he would never be able to. Joseph felt lonely, and he remembered feeling like this when he was alive. He felt like shit. He missed his best friend.

The train stopped, and Joseph got off. He looked into the void. He stood there for a second while he waited for the cart. The cart arrived, and Joseph got on. He heard a scream in the distance coming from the great city. Then, it was replaced with an odd growling. It was really loud. He ignored it, but then he heard loud metal clanks. He looked back, to see the Hoard.
A mass of pitch-black creatures, with a small amount of white to show their features. They were very thin, like someone who's been starved.
And they were climbing across the metal poles, approaching him fast.

Joseph panicked, and jumped off the cart onto the poles. He held his tool tightly, and the top started spinning. It became like a fan, making him feel lighter. He hopped across the beams to the other side, with the Hoard right behind him. When he got to the other side, he shouted, "code Six-H!" Nearby people began fleeing into Bricker City, and a man cam out of the crowd. He waved his hands upward, and a chunk of ground launched from the ground hidden below them. It hit the metal rods, and they fell down into the void, along with the Hoard. But some managed to make their way to the other side. Joseph and the man fought them off, killing them before they could get anyone. "Is everyone ok? No one got hurt?" Asked the man. Everyone nodded. The man relaxed. Joseph looked across the void. The hoard was standing there, watching them from across the void. "No one is to exit or enter Cheshire City." Said the man. "Get Verity. She needs to deal with the Hoard so that no one else gets trapped."

The man kept watch in case there were any monsters left. Someone ran towards Cheshire City, presumably to get Verity. Shortly after, a lady floating on wind came up. "Which one was it again?" Verity asked. "The Hoard." Said the man. Verity began to float across the void, unnoticed by the Hoard. She landed on a building, and with a fell swoop, blew a gust of wind that knocked many of the monsters into the void. But it was only a fraction of the amount that was there. The rest turned to her, and began climbing the building. Verity simply walked away though the air. The Hoard followed her, away from Cheshire City.

Joseph watched as flies brought the metal rods back into their place. Somehow, they were able to ignore the wormhole. The flew right past it, bringing out the rods as they did. Once they were finished, Joseph hopped onto the cart, and went across the void. He was kind of glad he couldn't be trapped. Being forced to be a part of something else for a long time didn't seem too appealing.

He was in the Great City when he heard a yell for help. He ran to it, and saw that there was a monster left from the Hoard. Joseph quickly ran over to it and slashed it before it could hurt the person. Its head split down the middle, it fell down, and slowly started fading to dust. "Are you ok?" He asked, reaching his hand out. But then he saw the victim's face. "Gavin?" He asked. Gavin got up, and said, "yeah, it's me."
"I saved you, by the way, so I don't want to hear any shit." Said Joseph. "Yeah, I know." Said Gavin. "When I was trapped as a puppet, I just felt like I was in darkness, it was awful. But whenever Mary put on my play, I could see and hear, everything. I saw you and Mosh run out, then I think I died."
"Yeah," said Joseph. "It was me and... Mosh..." he felt sad again. "I'm so sorry." Said Gavin. "He was a great friend." Joseph turned to Gavin, sad, and kinda angry. "Do you really care?" Asked Joseph, skeptically. Gavin thought for a second. "No," he said. "I don't actually care, but I get that you do. I mean, I'm not gonna do anything about it, but I'm still sorry."

Joseph scoffed, and turned away. Then he remembered the whole reason he did that crap. "What do you know about something that can control energy?" He asked. "Huh?" Asked Gavin. "Mosh told me that you knew something about a thing that we needed. It could move, take, and give energy however you wanted to. What do you know about it?"
"Well," started Gavin. "My memory is fuzzy from being trapped by Mary. To remember, I think I need-" Joseph grabbed his collar and yanked it up. "Just cut the bullshit please." He said "you can go off and do whatever the hell you want, just let me know where to find this thing."
"Well if your going to be rude, maybe I won't tell you." Joseph yanked his collar closer and gave him an angry look. "Ok fine," said Gavin. "It's not a thing. It's a monster. It's called Brax. He lives in the Dark Void, but he's contained. There's an odd mirror in the fourth dimension, if you can get into it. Put up another mirror to it, then break the mirror. That will set him free."
"Which mirror do I break?" Asked Joseph, yanking him closer. "The one that you brought." Said Gavin. Joseph let him go, and Gavin needed to regain his balance. "What, didn't want to pull me closer?" Asked Gavin. "I really think you just wanted to kiss me." Joseph ignored him as he left to head to the Dark Void. He went to the train station in the Great City. When he got there, but when he got there, the ground was littered with strings. 'Odd,' he thought. He pulled the lever, and the sound started. The train soon arrived, and Joseph got on. The train started towards the Village of Light. When he got there, the sound was also going off there. There must have been someone else waiting there.

Joseph got off, and began heading towards the village. "Joseph?" asked a voice. "I didn't expect to see you here." He turned around to see Tasha. "And I didn't expect to see you here, either. What are you doing here?" Asked Joseph. "Well," said Tasha. "Me, Duncan, and Xavier went to got find Xavier's wasp. We didn't find it, but guess what: we found yours!"
"You're kidding," said Joseph, astounded. "Yeah, we have the cage!" Said Tasha. "Well, Duncan had the cage."
"What happened?"
"Well, the station in Sarah's village wasn't working, so we decided to go to this one." Said Tasha. "But we had to climb Bella's Mountain. And, well... we're gonna have to find it again." Joseph sighed, frustrated. "But don't worry," said Tasha. "At least we know that your wasp is here now!" Joseph wasn't amused. He began walking to the village again. "Where are you going?" Asked Tasha. "The Dark Void." He responded. "I'll join you." Said Tasha, as she walked with him.

The village, as it's name might suggest, was full of light. It was a good place to stop by if you were going into the Dark Side. They grabbed some flashlights and some torches, and then some matches just in case. They climbed the hill that was to the west of the village. The sun was setting, turning the sky a shade of orange. But the valley in front of them was dark, as it's name would suggest. Even on the brightest of days, the Dark Side blocked out every bit of light it could, and absorbed the rest, leaving the land in constant shadow. "We have to go down there? In the pitch black?" Asked Tasha. "No," said Joseph. "I just really like this view. There's a quicker way if we just go north."

They head north to the Dark lake. They lit torches to have a dim light as they walked to the Dark Lake.
