Boarding School - Phan

1. Boarding School

When i wrote this (early 2013) the 'becky' and 'jessica' thing wasn't cringey, so yeah, sorry if that's a bit stupid now, but back in the day it wasn't... so yeah.

It was dan's first day at boarding school, his parents took 15 minutes to say goodbye and when they finally left, Dan didn't know what to do, as it was the middle of the year and he was the weird new student. Where was his room? The campus was huge, you felt in a small city when you arrived. There was at least 20 buildings, all of them looked the same, he couldn't tell which ones were for classes or dorms. The buildings made a circle and in the middle there was a park with benches, a lake, tables and a cooffe shop . He had no friends and everything was strange, but he was happy. Dan hated his family, he once had a big fight with his brother and living with them was like hell for him, so he liked the idea of going to a boarding school.

After 10minutes walking, trying to get to know the place, a girl with pink hair who was sitting with a boy asked if he needed help

"To be honest.. I do. I'm new and I have no idea what i'm doing !" Dan answered, feeling weird as fuck.

"Well, we can help you. What's your building's number ?" the boy said. He was wearing a Muse t-shirt so Dan felt like they could be good friends.

"13, and sorry, but what are your names?"

"My name is Luke and this is Emma, what's yours?"

Emma smiled and dan stared at her for some seconds, when he remembered he was in the middle of a conversation and said:

"I'm Dan"

There was an awkward silence. You know the type.

"Let's go then! Your building is that one, luke's dorm is there as well" Emma pointed to the left and started walking to it.

"where's your trunk, dan?" luke asked. Dan was thankful he was trying to break the silence.

"my parents left it here this morning and someone took it to my room"

"ooh right, and is it your first time at a boarding school?"

Luke was a nice guy, so Dan talked to him while they walked. When they finally got there, Dan opened the door and they saw a boy making out with a girl in one of the two beds. Just like that, they didn't even bother to lock the door. Okay, awkward moment, again, but it wasn't that bad because they were still wearing clothes.

"so... You just met Jack and Zoey" Emma said. Luke and jack laughed.

"I was wondering who owns that trunk! Nice to meet you, roommate." jack shook dan's hand and Dan smiled. "Nice to meet you too, roommate"

"holy shit, he's hot" - dan tried to shake his thoughts away. "DON'T THINK THAT, it's wrong and you're not gay" he said to himself.

Jack interrupted his confusion. "so dan.. A friend of ours is throwing a party in 1 hour and everyoby's going, his house is 20 minutes away, and we can go out because it's Saturday.Do you want to come?"

Dan didn't like parties, but he accepted the invitation since he was new and had to make friends. "Are you guys going?" Dan asked Emma and Luke.

"I don't think so... But you can go and have fun, we'll talk to you later" answered Luke, leaving with Emma.

"I need to go, love. I promised I'd go with my girlfriends, but I'll meet you there, okay?" Zoey said, leaving as well. Jack and Dan were alone and of course they started talking.

"I'm going to introduce you to all my friends, Dan. Don't worry, you'll have a lot of friends soon, but please, don't talk to luke and his friends again, they're all losers."

Dan felt weird. Emma and Luke were so nice to him, but obviously they were the alternative people, not popular at all, who listen to good music and have nice haircuts. "They seem pretty cool." Dan said, and Jack just gave him a weird look. "Just change your clothes so we can go, cmon.." Jack said trying to look excited.

A few minutes later, someone knocked at the door. 3 boys came in , jack introduced them to Dan, they seemed nice but... They were the popular kids, you know what I'm saying. Dan was nothing like them. At all. They were talking about how they would get laid that night, talking about girls, drugs and alcohol, dan was feeling like a total outsider, he was kinda awkward to be honest.. he tried to socialize though.

*Time skip*

I don't even need to describe how this party was, right?. People getting drunk, making out, crap songs, house getting a bit destroyed... but at that party, Dan saw someone who made his heart stop beating for some seconds. This very pale guy, wearing black jeans, he had a cool black hair. He looked like Luke but he was prettier.

"OH FUCK... I'm so not straight!" he thought.

He was still sober, so it wasn't the vodka effect. While Jack introduced him to everyone, Dan was wishing jack was friends with that boy so he could get to know him. He didn't want to admit that he liked boys, even though he knew it... but now it was different because he literally felt something just by looking at that boy.

He was with two girls and a guy, so Dan had a brilliant idea.

"hey jack, what's that blonde girl's name?"

"oh, which one? The one with curly hair is Carrie, but don't even try, she loves Alex."

Dan for a second wished "Alex" wasn't the cute boy. "Alex is the one next to her, you see? The other one is Jessica, she's kinda easy, I can introduce you to her" continued Jack. In a second he was already heading up to them - Yes, it worked.

When Dan noticed he was saying "hi, nice to meet you, I'm new" to Jessica. Of course he got to know Alex, Carrie and...

"Hey, I'm Phil"

Yes. Dan smiled. They shook hands.

"Can I leave Dan with you?" - Jack said, looking at Jessica. "Zoey needs me and I can't give him the attention!"

"OF COURSE!" Jessica said.. She was slightly drunk.

"So Dan, what do you think about the school so far?" asked Phil.

They started a random conversation and Dan couldnt be happier.

"LIKE FRIENDS! You want him as a FRIEND" - Dan thought. But he knew he couldnt fool himself.

A/N: so yeah guys, This is my first fanfiction ever, and I know this first chapter sucks! But I promise  the story gets better so keep reading <3

I have a lot of ideas so if you guys like this first chapter I'll definately update tomorrow (:
