MS1: Lucrative Operation

CHAPTER ONE

"SO what do you think?" Seryosong binigyan ng tingin ni Knox ang kapatid nitong si Kian. Ngayon ay nag aayos na ito ng kagamitan para sa pupuntahan nilang medical meeting.

"Bro, you're the President! Malamang papayag sila sa desisyon mo."

"We are not sure about that Kian, marami sa directors natin ang kumokontra sa desisyon ko." Sabi ni Knox at pagkatapos nitong ayusin ang necktie nito ay sinuot na nito ang laboratory coat nito at nang makontento na sa ayos nito ay kinuha na niyo ang folder sa office table nito nag naglalaman ng proposal. Tumayo naman ang nakababatang kapatid nito mula sa pagka upo sa couch at lumabas na sila sa opisina ni Knox.

Patuloy pa ring nagsasalita si Kian sa Kuya nito sa susuportahan nito ang desisyon ng Kuya niya hanggang sa pumasok na sila sa auditorium kung saan gaganapin ang medical meeting. Halos nandoon na lahat ng medical staff. Kumpleto lahat ng Board members, chief of staffs, Directors, Head Doctors at Nurses. Nang makuntento na si Knox sa bilang ng staff ay nag decide na itong mag salita. Halos lahat ay nakatingin sakaniya at ang ibang babaeng staff naman ay tinitignan siya na parang wala nang bukas, admiring his handsome features and nice built body. Masyadong guwapo at matangkad kaya maraming nagkakandarapang babae sakaniya.

"Good morning ladies and Gentlemen. I am Knox Atticus Maude, your President of Maude Hospital." Nag bow naman ito bilang pagbati sa lahat ng taong naroroon. Binati din naman ito ng mga staff.

"We are here today to discuss the President of the Philippines' head injury, as you all know the President had a mild stroke before, it was 2015 when he was admitted here at this hospital. As his doctor that time, We had a successful operation without any conflicts and made him move as normal as he is now. As Head Neurosurgeon and with my fellow Neurologist who handled his case, we had a very hard time to proccess his operation due to public opinion and from the reporters. Now, everyone here knows that the President was admitted here at 5:43 PM, Yesterday. He had a car accident which affected his movement because the bone on his left leg was damaged. Now, I want this case to be confidential as the President's family doesn't want to open this to the public, to avoid a commotion. Napansin kaagad ni Knox ang ibang staff na mukhang may gustong itanong.

"Any Questions?"

"Is there any witnesses on the President's car accident?" Tanong ng isang directors ng ospital.

"Yes, but then again. The President's staff handled it properly." Sagot naman ni Knox

"What are we gonna do about the President's condition, Sir? I heard he's on critical condition and it's very risky to operate him because there might be a chance that it would affect his other brain system!" Tanong naman ng isang director at base sa pananalita nito ay parang hinahamon nito si Knox. Palihim naman napangisi si Knox at nasa isip na nitong nagsisimula na siyang kontrahin, hinahanapan talaga siya ng mali kahit sa maliit na bagay lamang.

"Dr. Weldo of Neuro, I can assure you that his operation would be successful." Seryosong sagot ni Knox kay Dr. Weldo na napangisi naman.

"And how sure are you?" Tanong naman ulit ni Dr. Weldo. Nararamdaman na ni Knox na parang iniinsulto nito ang abilidad niya bilang doktor at ramdam din ng ibang staff ang tensyon sa dalawa kaya nanahimik nalang ang mga ito.

"I am 100 percent sure Dr. Weldo, since I will be the one to perform the surgery." Seryosong sabi ni Knox at napabuntong hininga nalang ito. Alam kasi nito na hindi siya titigilan ni Dr. Weldo, hangga't hindi ito magkamali. "You're confident are you?" Panghahamon ng Doktor sa Presidente kaya napangisi naman si Knox. It's getting interesting.
