'Ghostless' a httyd retelling

"Together from Afar"

Ghost looked at toothless she didn't wanna take toothless away from his human friend but toothless knew it was for the best toothless lifted his wings as he roared after everyone had said their goodbyes ghost was the first to leave as she led the flock to the hidden world all the dragons followed her even the death grippers from before as they were accepted into the flock the only dragons left were stormfly, barf and belch, meatlug, cloudjumper, skullcrusher, grump hookfang and of course toothless they looked at their riders one last time as hiccup nodded to toothless tears coming from all the riders hiccup smiled he was sad to see there dragons go but he knew they would be safe in the hiddenworld were they had plenty of fish water and of course protection they would need toothless looked down and then flew off leading the others to the hidden world.

Time skip 3 months later after the final goodbye

Hiccup and astrid were getting married as the whole village was there they said their vows and kissed were everyone cheered gobber even catching the flowers at the end astrid and hiccup walked over to the cliff were they had last seen there dragons looking off into the distance astrid rested her head onto hiccups shoulder "do you think we'll see them again?" Astrid asked as hiccup sighed "maybe one day, this world doesn't deserve dragons yet" hiccup said looking down at astrid.

Another time skip 37 years later

The scene takes place the ocean with a boat an older hiccup and astrid seen on the boat as hiccup held his son while he looked off into the fog while there daughter was with astrid stirring the boat while valka took hiccups son and held him while hiccup looked on his map, the others were on different boats the twins were sharing with snotlout and were driving him mad fishlegs, eret and gobber were on the last boat gobber telling tales of when he was a lad. Hiccup singled for everyone to stop as they all saw something in the distance emerging from the fog they saw something black and white in the distance hiccup looked off in disbelief knowing exactly what it was it was toothless and ghost they had been sitting on top of the rocks above the hidden world must have been hunting 3 small little heads appeared from underneath ghost one of the small things climbing on top of ghost they had babies ghost looked at toothless as she shielded her young from the possible intruders toothless back lit up bright blue as he went into stalk mode he growled and flew up into the air landing on top of hiccups boat toothless was silent his pupils were thing his scales had gotten darker over the years and his spines were permanently split he had many 4 extra small nubs underneath his big ones showing his age hiccup held a hand out as astrid shield her daughter valka protecting her grandson toothless slowly came down closer towards hiccup not recognising him at first "hey there bud remember me?" hiccup said as toothless had gotten up on his hind legs towering above hiccup hiccup looked away as he held his hand out for toothless he sniffed it and then jumped on hiccup licking him the glow went away as he remembered the scent of hiccup astrid smiled relieved "it's ok he's not gonna eat your father" astrid hugged her kids as valka looked at toothless amazed "unbelievable" she said under her breath "hows that tail doing there bud?" hiccup joked as toothless nuzzled hiccup he looked at his kids as hiccup brought them over "its ok its ok" hiccup said to both of them as he held there hands out for toothless "don't be scared he won't hurt you" astrid said as they looked away "let him come to you" valka chirped in as toothless touched there hands with his snout they looked over and smiled.

Scene cuts to all the riders with there dragons flying around happily even ghost joined in smiling at hiccup with her three children on her back toothless smiled as the 3 night skies smiled happily cooing flapping their wings as they pretended to fly hiccup had his son while astrid had there daughter flying around they swapped in mid flight even tho valka snatched both of them flying around on cloudjumper they flew into the sunset as the screen slowly turns black

Little bit of information about ghost - the "light fury"

Ghost is an albino sky fury who was raised by Grimmel her whole life and had never seen another dragon similar to her before.

Deleted scenes

During the "first date" scene between ghost and toothless there was originally gonna be a scene that references the first how to train your dragon film where hiccup taught toothless how to smile, toothless was gonna teach ghost how to smile this scene was scrapped because it wouldn't had made sense to the rest of the story considering she already knew how to smile.

There originally was gonna be a scene where toothless was taking a while to return to berk and hiccup was getting worried and even considered taking stormfly to go find him until the entire village goes silent as the fog starts to fade in hiccup questions what everyone is staring at until he looks up and sees ghost sitting on top of a pillar almost completely hidden considering her scales blend in perfectly with the white fog the only thing you can see are her piercing red eyes, giving her the name red eyed devil a myth started long ago when vikings had seen an albino night fury believing that they were the same dragon but hiccup realises that if ghost is here then toothless could be in danger as ghost sniffs around she realises that toothless isn't here causing her to panic as she flys off and slowly fades into the shallows of the fog.

In the scene where they find out ghost is working for grimmel she was originally gonna attack them blasting at them all as shes mind controlled but needed her to be the perfect trap for toothless instead as she slowly lures him to grimmel only to be distracted when they find the hidden world by accident.

There were originally gonna be more flashback scenes especially for hiccup but decided to leave some of them out here's some of the original scenes that were gonna be mentioned in flashbacks

Young hiccup finding the wounded bird he had mentioned to valka that foreshadowed the first film.

Ghost's childhood these flashbacks would have shown how they treated her grimmel being harsh and cruel but also showing a tender side towards the infant dragon.

Ghost learned to fly while toothless was learning to fly again with hiccup.

Toothless looking at his mother one last time before he never saw her again after taking off and leaving the nest.
