"Let's go, Nari. If we don't want to be stuck in traffic, we should get going." Yejeon said after a while. I picked up my bag while she took the other things we'll need during our meeting. "Have you read and studied your lines? You should impress them later, make sure they won't regret getting you."

"Come on, Yejeong. You know how I work." I told her and walked after her.

"Yeah, your work ethics are fire. But your social skills, zero." She commented.

"I agree. That's why I don't have friends." I said, making me feel sad at the realization.

Come to think of it, I don't have someone I could share stories with. I don't have someone to rant to. I don't have someone to exchange ideas with. Well, except for Yoongi. He has been somehow a friend to me...

Well, that made me even sadder. Heck.

He didn't call or message me the entire night. So, that's it, huh? Fuck him.

We made it to the TV network's building and I shook my head to clear it from anything Yoongi-related thoughts.

"It's a pleasure to meet and work with you both." I told the director & writer after the pleasantries and took a seat.

"Likewise, Nari. Thank you for accepting the role." The director said. "You really are our first choice."

"Wow, thank you so much, Director Oh." I said, bowing to them.

"Shall we start then?" Director Oh asked. I nodded and he looked at the writer. "Would you like to start, Ms. Cho?"

"Sure, Director Oh. Hello, Nari. I heard that you already read the script. The title of the drama is Mrs. CSI. You're gonna be the main lead, the female investigator who never backs down on any case given to her. So you will be solving a lot of cases." Ms. Cho, the writer started.

"The shooting will take about 6 months plus a month of training that you need to do." Director Oh added. "We heard you have a background in taekwondo so that will be an advantage. But you have to learn how to hold and fire a gun, among other things. Also, you'll have to shoot out of the country for some of the episodes."

I nodded to acknowledge all the things they were saying. The process is not new to me but I'm really excited about this project.

"Let's start with the script reading?" Director Oh asked.

They asked me to read one part and were both nodding after I'm done. They both seemed pleased.

"Oh my god! You really fit into the character. This is gonna be a hit!" They both gushed and I'm just so glad that they think that way.

We read few more lines before we said goodbye. Yejeong was briefing me with the rest of my schedule the whole week when I bumped into someone.

"I'm sorry!" I instinctively said to the person. I bowed a bit and when I looked up I saw a smirking Injae. "Injae?"
