I can't wrap my head around that fact. He was with her for 4 years. He loved her for that long...or more!
"Nari, your food..." Yoongi said. We're already inside the restaurant and he's sitting right across me.
I didn't talk to him the entire ride going here no matter how hard he tried to open a conversation. I only spoke when we had to give our order.
I continued giving him silent treatment while waiting for our food to come. And now that it's there, I couldn't bring myself to eat. I already lost the appetite.
"Please, Nari...I thought you're starving?" He continued.
"I lost my appetite already." I said quietly, crossing my arms.
I heard him sigh before he began cutting up his steak. After he's done, he picked my plate up and placed his in front of me.
"Nari, take a bite please..." He said. I let out an exasperated sigh before pushing away his plate and putting mine back.
"Is there a particular reason why you didn't tell me about Injae after multiple instances where you can do so?" I asked him while I firmly slice the steak into bite-sized pieces. I was thinking it was him I'm cutting. Hah!
I looked at him and I saw him swallowed nervously. Yes, that's right, Yoongi. Squirm!
"I...I...Look Nari, at first it was more like I don't want to talk about her, alright? I don't want to bring up the past. And I wasn't ready. I wasn't ready to tell you that part of my life. I was...I have been always haunted by what she did to me. For the longest time, I was trying to forget and heal..."
"Why? What did she do to you?" My interest piqued in and slowly, I put down the knife and fork and leaned back on my chair. He did the same.
"She cheated on me. She had big dreams and she did everything she could to achieve them. I caught her having sex with somebody inside her apartment one night. I don't know if the man he's with was a producer or director...she just said he will help her become a star. Fuck that." He shook his head. "She even gaslighted me, telling me it's because I wasn't always around for her. That I was too busy, that I was never ever there for her."
I gulped at the sight of a hurt & frustrated Yoongi. How dare she do that to him. I want to reach and comfort him but I held myself back.
"That night was the last time I saw her in person. Next thing I know, she's already being casted on shows, movies...I loathed her a lot years back. But now, I only feel indifference. What she did to me had done a lot of damage to my ego, confidence, and my ability to trust people. I was working hard back then with the rest of the members and she was my inspiration. I wanted to do good, to be successful for our future. And that part sucked the most. I was busy fulfilling my dreams for us when she was fucking her way for hers."
