The consequence of falling deeply in love with someone is marked by heavy stings of pain that come in the name of capricious desire at distorted intervals.

Sooyuki took a deep breath as she moved her lips away from Jungkook's. They both looked at each other for a while before joining them again in a passionate struggle to establish dominance over one another.

"We shouldn't be doing this," said Jungkook as he slowly lifted a strand of hair from Sooyuki's face and tucked it behind her ear.

"Too late for that!" Sooyuki fondled his hair with a touch as soft as a moonlight falling on the edge of dark clouds. They shared another slow yet intense kiss. Jungkook had lost count of how many times he played and replayed this exact moment in mind over the past couple of years. He bit her lower lip before moving down to kiss her neck that made Sooyuki led out an exhilarating moan. His warm hands touched Sooyuki's back. She pressed her body close to his by pulling the shirt collar.

"Jungkook?"

"Ne."

"You smell like cinnamon."

"What?" Jungkook laughed. The sudden reference surprised him.

Sooyuki caressed him by gently stroking the back of her fingers on his cheeks. "Joahaeyo" [I like it!]

Jungkook's phone vibrated at that very moment. Holding Sooyuki's back with one hand, he swiftly managed to take his phone out from the back pocket of loose denim.

"It's Seokjin!" He took her in his arms once more and softly kissed her on the forehead before picking up the phone call.

"Hmm... Hmm... Now... I'll be there. Half an hour. Okay."

"Jeon Jungkook! You're leaving again! Third time in a week."

"Mianhae! It's urgent." He quickly changed into a black t-shirt and tossed out the sweat-soaked shirt on the bed.

"We should tell Jin about us."

"Yeah." Jungkook started to look around for his watch.

"Is that a yes?" Sooyuki raised her eyebrows at him.

"Yeah, we'll tell him. What's the rush?"

"What if you'd run away again?"

"I was always here. You're the one who found a wealthy husband and got married," said Jungkook in a nonchalant tone. He grabbed a case file from the shelf and placed it carefully inside a leather bag.

"Man I hate you sometime," she whispered slowly.

Jungkook came close to her and lifted her face with his index finger. "Wait for me. I'll be back in few hours and then we'll continue from where we left off. Is that okay?"

"Jung-"

"I'll let you ride!" He winked at her before leaving the room. Sooyuki was not someone who would blush at such remarks but Jungkook knew well that by letting her do things the way she liked in other areas of their relationship besides these abrupt situations, calms her down.

"Come back soon!" Sooyuki heard the door close as he left her alone in the apartment. She placed her head on the pillow and curled up inside the sheets.

For some time she mindlessly stared at the bland walls of his apartment. The room had minimal furniture; a bed, a small side table, a mirrored closet, and a small study desk where he seemed to often read the case files. A broken stringed guitar was peeking behind the long curtains.
