Yes I will, I know how Rosetta thinks!" She shouted, turning to me. I couldn't help but let out a gasp, her mascara was running down her face, her red lipstick was smudged and her curled hair was now tangled and frizzy. "Oh stop acting like you've seen a monster you little brat." She scoffed. "I did though." I mumbled, loud enough so she could hear. "Your so lucky I need you for that gold." She said, rolling her eyes. I walked over to the counter and stepped on an extra creaky board so I pretended like I dropped something to check it out, the board wasn't attached to the floor, I picked the board up and saw a small velvet purple bag, I opened it and saw the gold, I quickly put the floor board back and put the bag of gold in my dress pocket. I looked over to Eleanor who was tearing apart the cottage looking for the gold, I smiled to myself knowing she will be at this for hours. "How about you check in the backyard, she loved going out there!" I implied. She quickly nodded her head and clumsily ran outside. While she was busy I went upstairs on got ready, changing my dress, doing my hair, applying makeup and putting dress boots that matched my dress on.
I walked downstairs and went to the front yard attempting to peek behind the house, to see what Eleanor was doing but I was surprised when I saw Ian and scarlet sitting on the ground again the wall. "What are you guys doing here!" I whisper-shouted. "I'm here for backup, I'm not sure what your doing that's so undercover and evil but if you needed any help I'm here." Ian explained. "Thank you that's very kind but you guys don't understand what I'm doing or who I am, I'm on some sort of top secret quest at the moment so I suggest you don't get involved, I want scarlet to have a nice childhood, it'll ruin her life if you guys got into this mess." I whispered. "I don't care, you've done a lot for us and it's our way of repaying you." Ian insisted. "Fine, but do everything I say and don't talk unless spoken to when it comes to Eleanor, and your going to have to go on a quite a few more train rides with me too." I gave in. "Now go up to my room and go onto the balcony, she won't be able to find you there." I instructed and they quickly went inside.
I followed them inside and swiftly locked all of the doors and windows and shut the curtains so Eleanor couldn't get back in for a while. I sat at the kitchen table and began writing down my escape and how I'll keep Ian and scarlet safe. I went over to the stove and began making some oatmeal for scarlet and Ian because I assume their hungry. I then portioned the oatmeal into bowls. I then made my way upstairs,"I thought you guys would be hungry." I said handing them their oatmeal on the balcony. "Thank you Aurora." Ian spoke. "Yeah thanks!" Scarlet cheerfully replied. "No problem." I sighed, running back downstairs. I went to check outside and saw Eleanor having a mental breakdown by the river, I laughed at her psychotic personality and walked up to her. "Aren't you going to go home." I stated. "Not until I find that gold, I didn't come all the way here to break into my bratty little daughters house for nothing." She sneered. "Yeah yeah just hurry up." I scoffed, going back inside. I opened the door and walked up the spiral staircase, walking to my bedroom and unlocking the balcony doors. "Hey Aurora!" Ian and scarlet said at the same time. "Uh yeah hi guys." I responded, distracted by watching Eleanor's every move from the balcony. "You okay?" Ian asked.
"Yeah I'm fine, just trying to plan our escape and how I'm going to get rid of my mother." I explained. "What even is this "mission" or whatever, why are you even in the feud with your mother." Ian questioned. I then explained everything, how Rosetta went missing, how theirs this gold, how my mother hates me and everyone told me she was dead, things like that, you wouldn't want to hear that again, your reading this book for a reason. "Oh makes sense." Ian added. I smiled and looked over to scarlet, who was playing with a doll. my smile turned into a frown, this poor child won't be innocent much longer. "Hey don't worry, she'll be fine." Ian assured me. I turned my head and smiled, leaning down to where he was sitting to hug him. "Well I'm going to head back into my room to plan out some things." I spoke up, getting off the ground and opening the double glass doors, I looked back and grinned before I shut the doors and locked them so Eleanor couldn't get out there
