I filled my plate with food and started eating. "You know, at finishing school you aren't aloud to eat like that, your a lady Aurora." Eleanor scolded. "Oh?" I responded, not knowing how to reply. "Well we want to know about you so tell us some facts!" Alex cheerfully spoke, changing the subject. "Well I love pastel colors, I like going to the bakery and the library, I love reading and I'm good with mind exercises and games!" I said. "That's wonderful!" Alex smiled. "Mind exercises and games, reading? I cant believe rosetta allowed that, I wish she never took you from us, you would be such a proper lady, but don't worry it isn't your fault." Eleanor scoffed. "I actually had a great childhood, I thought you were dead though so I'm not sure how to react to being here."
I replied passive aggressively. "Well isn't that extraordinary!" Alex spoke up once again, trying to change the subject. "No it isn't dear, Rosetta stole our girl and now she's grown up to have no manners or proper lady features." Eleanor shouted. "Well it's not my fault Rosetta "kidnapped" me." I yelled, rolling my eyes and stomping upstairs. "Has she had no discipline? I knew it was bad of us to give her to Rosetta, I never wanted her and I still don't but I am disappointed over the fact she has no manners!" Eleanor scoffed. Little did they know I was sitting on the stairs listening. "I never wanted to get rid of my only daughter but it was your idea." Alex said, defending me. "I'm so angry, I'm just going to head to bed so I can have enough energy to keep up the act tomorrow." Eleanor mumbled, going to her room downstairs. "Two can play at that game Eleanor." I whispered to myself, prepared to be as fake as one can be and act as if I didn't hear anything.
