Sasha
Sasha whipped around to see the stones falling from the tower. She was losing her balance too quickly, and the edge of the tower grew nearer and nearer. The Plantars were helping frogs get inside and off the roof, while Anne stared at Sasha. All the chaos combined with the pain of her cut was too much and Sasha was nearly frozen in place.
Suddenly the world dropped. Sasha's heart nearly stopped until Anne caught her. "Anne!" Sasha said, gripping Anne's hand tightly. She looked down, which was a mistake. The ground was too far away. If she fell, death would be certain. Sasha looked back at Anne, who was smirking. Sasha felt Anne's grip loosening and her heart dropped. "Anne?" She breathed again, disbelief and horror tainting her voice.
"Sorry Sasha. You no longer have that great of a use."

Falling.
Sasha was falling. Dropping like water in a waterfall, rain from the sky, a stone from a crumbling tower, a girl from a cliff.
"Anne!" Sasha screamed, but the girl had already disappeared from sight. It was too late. Anne was gone, and so was Sasha. Forever. What had she expected, a sudden change of heart? From Anne? Sasha thought she knew better. But it was all over now. So what was the point?
The Toad Tower grew further, the ground grew closer, and Sasha's world went black.

When Sasha woke up, she was laying in some kind of makeshift bed in a little hut. She sat up, but immediately fell back down, blood rushing from her head. She laid there for a moment, in darkness.
Then the hut was flooded with light. "Sasha?" A rough voice asked. "Grime? Is that you?" Sasha squinted against the sunlight, and was barely able to make out a dark shape. "What time is it?"
"Late." Grime answered. Sasha's eyes finally adjusted so she could see him. "You've been out for ages. It's about time." Sasha got up, slowly this time, and walked outside. She stared at the sky, but a voice was ringing in her ears. "Anne?" Sasha choked out. It was flooding back now. Everything. Sasha felt herself drop to the ground as she buried her head in her hands. "No no no no no." Sasha started to hiccup as her eyes filled up. "She--she didn't mean it, right?" She said, with a shaky smile.
Sasha looked back at Grime, who stayed silent. Sasha decided that meant the worst was true, and she couldn't do anything but sob it all out. Grime seemed uncomfortable, but eventually went over to Sasha and began to pat her shoulder awkwardly. "..It's ok."
"No it's not!" Sasha cried. "I--she tried to--" Sasha broke down again at the thought of saying it. She couldn't do it. She couldn't admit that Anne was willing to let her die. What had happened to them? Was it middle school, the fight for popularity finally going out of control and messing with Anne's head? She was never such a jerk back when they were little.
How had Sasha let all this happen? Marcy was far too smart to not notice Anne's manipulative habits, or how they slowly infected Sasha. Maybe Sasha should've mustered up the courage to talk to her about it. She and Marcy could've taught Anne a lesson and continued living perfectly normal, manipulation-free lives. It was absurd, the way they had all put up with each other only to come to this.
It was too late now, wasn't it?
But maybe Anne thought Sasha was dead. Anne had walked away before Sasha blacked out, and that meant one thing; Anne really didn't know if Sasha was dead. She was assuming. And assumptions are usually wrong.
So maybe Sasha could surprise her.

This could be fun.
