Anne
Anne crept through the shadows of the levitating castle, hoping to locate Sasha and finally finish her. Her hand gripped her sword as the brunette prowled through the dark hallways. The shifts of mechanical objects could be heard in the distance, along with several pairs of footsteps that were from various different places in the castle. Seven, if Anne had counted correctly.
The seemingly endless hallways finally ended as Anne stepped her way into a corridor. Some of the footsteps she had been hearing earlier grew louder, but she ignored them and walked closer to the window and looked out of it. Frobots infested the ground below, killing adults and children alike. Anne picked up a spare sword that was next to her on the ground and chucked it at the easiest Frobot that she could reach. The sword pierced the Frobot right through its chest, and it fell out of the sky, creating a small-scale explosion once it crashed onto the ground, killing some more Frobots, around nine of them. She let out a small chuckle, before making her way to the two large doors that stood in front of her.
Anne shoved open the two doors, her one arm straining against the heavy metal doors. Inside the large dark room was the Calamity box on a small pedestal. She walked up to the box and eyed it suspiciously. Everything almost felt too perfect. Too easy. She shrugged it off though and reached for the box. As she touched it, it was revealed to be a projection, and it disappeared.
"Goddammit," Anne growled, as she was grabbed by a mechanical tentacle. Anne struggled, and the piece of machinery that coiled around her only squeezed her tighter. There had apparently been eyes on the wall, which opened, and the eyes all opened into the center. Once the final eye in the center opened, a new figure could be seen.
This new character was a teenage girl, that was most certain, but she didn't exactly look the part. She was wearing a suit of black armor that had a glowing orange eye on the chestplate. She was also wearing a black and red cape that flowed all the way down to her ankles. But the strangest thing of all was what she was wearing on her head. The girl was wearing a black helmet that covered all but her mouth. The helmet had ten orange and red eyes, while also having four wickedly sharp horns that Anne thought slightly resembled an axolotl's frills.
But the one thing about this girl that made Anne gasp was the corner of the exposed area of the other girl's face. There was a scar, a large one, that reached her lip. This was on the left side of her face, and with the conveniently placed scar that was exactly in the spot that Anne had slashed Marcy at, all the way back at their fight.
This mysterious girl was Marcy. She had lived. With Anne at a full realization that Marcy had somehow lived, she was forced to fight back a growl that was rising in her throat.
"Why hello, Anne."The new robotic voice of Marcy had spat out Anne's name with such bitterness, that Anne thought that she had just spat out a rotten fruit. Anne thought that even though she might know what Anne had done, she could try to charm her way out of this situation.
"Oh my god. Marcy!? You're alive? I was so worried about you!" Anne lied, coating her voice with sugar. Marcy seemingly wasn't having any of it though. "Of course you were worried about her surviving the blows you dealt. We are not dumb enough to play your stupid game. Marcy may have been, but we are not." Marcy hissed, walking forward, although she was most certainly possessed by something. Anne sunk back into the tentacles, and the ones around her neck choked her harder. Marcy noticed this, and let out a small laugh.
"Oh, blue. Don't get soft on us now, we still have so much stuff we'd like to do with you. In fact, I believe it's time for you to meet our second-in-command." Marcy laughed, and Anne became more unsettled by the minute. "Don't worry, she won't kill you." Marcy giggled, smirking. "But we will."
As soon as Marcy had said that, another figure stepped out of the shadows. This was Sasha, no doubt about it, and she also looked different. Sasha was also wearing black armor that had some hints of red, mainly her left shoulder pad and the metal cuff of her black glove. Her armor also had a glowing eye in the center of it, but it was purple. She also had axolotl horns sticking out of her head, but only two, and she had no helmet. Instead, Sasha had four glowing purple eyes; the first two were where her normal eyes would be, and the extra two were directly under them. Sasha also was sporting a metal collar that had purple glowing diamonds ingrained onto it.
Anne was dropped by the tentacles that had been holding her, and she grabbed her sword, not to kill Sasha, but for self-defense, just in case she was going to be attacked.
"Sasha, what are you doing, working for this ten-eyed freak?" Anne snapped at the blonde, but instead of her taking offense, her face stayed completely expressionless. And then, without warning, Sasha lunged forward, both swords in hand. From this surprise attack, Anne had just gotten a long cut that ran from the bottom of her right cheek, all the way to her left eyebrow.
Anne grunted and swung back at the girl, making any and all attempts to kill the blonde. Anne quickly directed her gaze to Marcy, who was sitting on a black and orange throne, and she was obviously enjoying the fight between the livid girls.
Anne made an attempt to slash Sasha's head off, but she had ducked, and Anne had just sliced air. Sasha continued to slash at Anne, no sign of tiring, while Anne was losing energy, her will to fight fading and blood trickling down her face.
"Alright! I'm done! I give up!" Anne barked, stepping back from Sasha and glaring at Marcy. "Make her stop! Now!"
Marcy only laughed as she got up from her throne. "Oh Anne, how should I know that you really are done? You lied to Marcy, so now she can't be sure if she really wants to trust you." Marcy smirked, and Anne's face twisted into horror. "Marcy please." Anne pleaded. "I was toxic, but I can and will try to change for the better. I want to save you and Sasha so that we can start over!" Anne lied, trying everything she could to try to get Marcy to tell Sasha to quit fighting.
Marcy's mildly amused face erupted into laughter as she looked back at Anne with a devious smile. "Oh Anne," she started, the roboticness draining itself from her voice, as she took off her helmet. "Maybe I don't want to be 'saved.'"
The sight that was before Anne was disturbing and horrifying in more ways than one. It was Marcy, with the scar on the left side of her face that covered from the spot above her eyebrow to her lower lip. Her normally green eyes were fully orange, with the only other color that was there being an orangish-yellow that made up her iris and pupil. And right out of the skin, eight extra orange eyes had just opened. Marcy manically laughed at Anne's horror.
"Wow, never thought I'd be able to terrify you, but it seems I stand corrected." Marcy laughed, and Anne was beginning to regret everything she had done to her.
No! Stop feeling sorry for her! Anne thought to herself, as she got her head back in the game to fight Sasha. But right before she could swing at Sasha again, she felt something hot and sharp slice across her back, lifting her up in the air slightly. Anne let out a small scream, before tumbling down to the ground a few feet away.
Anne lay there on the ground, covered in blood, and breathing heavily. She felt her conscience and life slipping away from her, and she tried to force herself up, and she was successful. Anne ran towards Sasha with all of her strength and made a shot for her neck, trying to at least take one of the two down with her. Anne would have hit her mark, but she had only sliced Sasha's collar, which fell off. Sasha's main eyes flickered back to the normal magenta, and the extra two closed, as well as her horns fell to the ground. Anne felt herself about to black out, but before she could, tentacles grabbed her and threw her into a corner. Then Marcy walked up to her.
"Anne, don't take a nap on us now. We'd like you to be very awake and aware for this next part." Marcy smirked, before plunging a flaming dagger into Anne's throat. Anne felt the blood fly out of the wound, and she also felt a build-up of blood in her mouth. She glared at Marcy, and at Sasha who was just watching in shock. Talking was now a difficulty, but Anne still managed to croak out a few final words before she finally died."See you in hell."
