Rani told her father that Kion would let Blaze live.

Sahasi stood on the crowing rock. Animals flocked around him. "Animals of the Tree Of Life! Blaze has been disqualified for harming another contestant!" Sahasi shouted. Everyone turned to Blaze. Blaze just stood there.

"Blaze, leave now," Sahasi ordered. Blaze growled and walked out of the territory.

Sahasi turned to Rani and whispered, "Is Kion able to compete?" "I will go check," Rani walked into the tree.

"Kion?" Rani asked. She heard a grunt. "You ok?" Her eyes adjusted to the light, and she saw Kion on the rock. He looked like he was still in pain. She walked closer to him. Kion didn't seem to notice her, even though she spoke.

Kion groaned, "Pain go away!" He pleaded. "Kion?" Rani asked again. Kion's eyes shot open. He sat up. "Are you ok?" "Yeah, totally fine," Kion replied. Rani could tell he was holding in the pain.

"So you can walk then?" Rani smirked. Kion tried standing up, but fell down In pain. He sighed, "No." Rani chuckled, "You don't need to act tough Kion. Everyone is in pain once in a while." "Yeah but I want to impress you," Kion replied.

"Kion, that won't impress me. You're personality will," Rani smiled. "Oh."

"Kion, the others are going to compete in a race. Because you're injured, you can't race," Rani explained. "Wait, does that mean im out!" Kion shouted. Rani chuckled, "No of course not. You were injured because of someone else. So you can pass this one for free," Rani explained.

Kion sighed and collapsed onto the rock. Rani walked up to him and licked his cheek, "If you're feeling better, let me know." Kion nodded. He yawned and closed his eyes. Kion drifted off to sleep.

Rani walked out to watch the competition.

Alphonse, Aisi, Jacan, Zin, and Etan were ready. "Remember!" Sahasi shouted, "No pushing eachother to get ahead. Race to the mountain pass, and back!"

They nodded. Sahasi roared, "GO!"

Zin took the lead instantly, with Jacan on his tail. Rani watched them, but didn't really care for it. She wanted Kion to be in the race.

Rani heard a grunt from behind her. She turned around and saw Kion limping towards her. "Kion! I thought you were asleep!"

"I tried, but I couldn't," Kion sat next to her and watched the race, "I wish I was out there," He sulked. "You'll get better soon," Rani chuckled.

"Not soon enough," Kion rolled his eye's. Rani chuckled and turned back to the race. She felt Kion's tail gently brush over hers.

"Zin wins!" Sahasi shouted. Zin smirked. Kion whispered in Rani's ear, "I could've beat him in a heartbeat." "I'm sure you could," Rani chuckled.

Aisi walked up to Kion, "How are you feeling?" "I'm fine. Just a little beat up," Kion replied. "Good. Get better soon," Aisi walked away.

"Guess he's the only one nice to you," Rani said. "Him and Alphonse," Kion corrected. Rani nodded, "Why do they hate you so much?"

"Because I hang out with you. They think im trying to make you fall in love with me, so that even if either of them win, you'll still chose me," Kion explained.

"Is that true?" "No! I just hang out with you because I want to! Im not trying to do that! That's cheating!" Kion shouted. Rani nodded, "C'mon get back in the tree." "But I don't want to! I like feeling the wind through my mane," Kion protested. "What mane?" Rani asked jokingly. "Hey!" Kion groaned. "I'm just kidding," Rani chuckled.

"Either way I'm not going back in," Kion said. "Fine. But don't come crawling to me if you get one of your cuts opened up again," Rani shrugged.

"I won't," Kion smiled and trotted off. Rani shook her head with a smile, "Males are so stubborn."
