"gabby?!" i called, rolling my eyes as i sat on the couch in her living room.
"what?!" she yelled back.
"are you ready?" i asked her.
"almost!" she yelled.
i went on my phone for a few minutes, before i heard gabbys obnoxious stomping as she came down the stairs.
"finally, come on!" i said, grabbing her suitcase which was surprisingly heavy and pulling it out of the door.
"bye mom!" she yelled into the house.
"bye gabby, love you." she yelled back.
"love you too!" she yelled before closing the door.
i lifted her suitcase and put it into the back of my car. i quickly got into the front seat of my car and gabby was already in the passengers side.
"let's goo." i said excitedly, i began driving out of her neighborhood and towards the airport.
a few minutes later i announced, "we have arrived at the san antonio airport!"
"finally you're such a slow driver." gabby sighed and i punched her arm.
we quickly got out of the parked car and grabbed our luggage before heading inside.
my theory was that time went by differently in airports because it feels like when you have enough time the time goes by like way faster.
"perfect just in time," i said, as i sat down at our gate.
"we literally have like an hour," gabby said with a groan from the seat next to me.
"well, we can buy some food for the 20 hour flight."
"20 hours!?" gabby exclaimed.
"yes, but then will be in the land of football players where you can just live your pinterest dreams out," i said dreamily.
"yeah you're right," she said rolling her eyes.
"let's go get some snacks," i said standing up and grabbing gabby's hand.
"yay!" she exclaimed like a little kid.
i shook my head and walked to the nearest store and me and gabby spent the next 45 minutes stocking up on snacks.
"flight 2679 to barcelona, spain is now boarding," the lady said over the intercom.
"gabby come on!" i said pulling her.
"i'm so excited," she exclaimed.
"so am i!" i said.
we handed the flight attendant our tickets and boarded the plane quickly. we sat down in our seats and began to get comfortable.
after all it was going to be a long flight.
