"Some truth? It seems the cadet was speaking truthfully."

Honestly, i do not know what to think. Yes, the bird did appear out of nowhere. But also, how is that possible? Did Fushiguro really summon it? Why would Fushiguro kidnap Jean? He doesn't even understand him! It would make more sense to take me. And why are they connecting Eren and Fushiguro? Eren did not even know that he could turn into a titan! But this guy seems to be well aware of how to 'call' these 'creatures'.

"Mikasa." My train of thought was interuppted by Amrin whispering my name. "Ah hmm." The commander cleared his voice. "Sorry sir. Can you repeat the question?" Armin asked.

"Like i was saying, what happened here prior to the bird appearing?"

"After you guys went down the wall, the mps tried to search and detain Fushiguro. But he resisted, so they used force. An excessive amount as well. Armin came around the time he started to resist."

"Yeah, i was. Everthing seemed normal around then, though." The commander and a section commander with glasses stared at each other.

"Lets clear up the question. What happened right before the bird appeared?"

Armin looked at me. He is more well spoken than me so i gave him a look to communicate that. "The MPs grabbed his arms and legs. The guy seemed upset and did this weird hand signal. Jean seemed to clock what he was about to do and said this weird word. Then the guy smiled at him and the bird was summoned. The strange word was Shimi-something. I can't remember."

"Shikigami. It was what Fushiguro called those weird dog things Jean was speaking about." I finished Armins tboughts. "Wait? So Jean knew what he was about to do before he even did it?" The woman questioned. I nodded firmly, while Armin looked a bit unsure.

"What did this 'signal' look like?"

"It kind of looked like this-" Armin said, trying to replicate the hand sign with the wings. "-but more bird like."

"But Jean told me that it looked like a dog." Connie made his own hand sign. "Jean showed me that he made a hand sign a little like this." The one Connie made did look more like a dog.

"Well we can assume that Jean made an assumption with guessing it was a....Shikigami, am i correct?" I affirmed her question with a nod.

"Clearly, this was intentional. What i do not understand is this kid took a cadet with him. Why would he kidnap someone if he was trying to escape by air? I get by ground, but if you fly there is no way for us to really get him." Captin Ian pondered.

"True. I don't fully understand that part either." This was hopeless. I don't know why we are not trying to follow them. I am so mad i didn't ask him about the eastern clan and how he survived prosecution. Maybe he is a relative? I should have asked!!!!!! I frown to myself.

"So....Do we follow them and rescue the cadet?" Captin Levi asked the commander.
"Why is that even a question!? Of COURSE we will!!" Connie shouted.

"No, we will not." WHAT?

"WHAT!? WHY!!!?" Armin frowned.

"Trost got attacked, hundreds of people died, some thousand are without homes, and we have a literal human shifting titan! We have our hands full. We cannot possibly go out to save 1 cadet." It was that annoying Captin Levi again. But to be honest, i understand his train of thought.

"We can't just abandon him!"

"Connie, calm down. He's right. We can't afford to have any more people die for a rekon mission we have no immediate or any benefit in doing." Armin grabbed his arm. Connie looked down and pulled his arm away. I get it. If Eren was kidnapped, i wouldn't be okay with such an answer either.

"Where do you think they went?" The glasses woman broke the silence. Speaking of places.

"Japan."

"Hmm?" "What?" "Uhh...excuse me?"

"Fushiguro said he was from someplace called Japan." I explained.
"And you choose to share this information now?" An MP said.

"I tried to say this earlier, right before one of you guys tried to shoot off his head."

"Nevermind that. What else did he say about this Japan?" I shrugged to that. "Nothing else."

"Assuming here, this guy seems to be from another place. Probably with humans. Or Japan is some town. I will assume the latter."

....

"We should head back to work. Everyone, follow the Garrsion regiment instructions. We need to focus on reviving Trost."

"Sir!!!"
