Try, Try, Try

An: I had this chapter completed 3 days ago, but i accidentally deleted it😭 and I got upset and forgot to post another chapter. This is written from my memory. Sorry

POV: Armin Arlert

"Jean....got kidnapped."

The reactions i got after saying that was just as I expected. "WHAT!?!?!"
"JEAN WAS KIDNAPPED!?!?!"
"THE EASTERNER TOOK HIM?!?!?!"
"WHY WOULD THEY TAKE JEAN!!?"
"WHAT!?! WHERE IS HE?!?!"

I can't blame their outbursts. I felt the same after they said we cannot go after him. "Calm down guys. What happened?" Reiner, being collective as ever. "It took him. That giant bird. After it saved Fushiguro, its claws grabbed Jean." The group lookrd shocked, some horrified. "It's our fault. We were right next to Jean but we didn't even stop it." Mikasa....I mean, she is not wrong. We did do nothing.

"It isn't your fault. Everything must've happened too fast for you guys to react." Reiner smiled. "So...what happened after." Sasha asked. "What do you mean?"
"I mean, did they send anyone after him?" Oh. "Yeah! They must've!"

"No." Connie answered. "What...?" "They didn't send anyone after him."
"Why not!" Kate and Sasha demanded. "Because of Trost. Countless people either died or lost their homes. It would be stupid to risk more lives all for an individual." The rest of the group didn't really seem too pleased with that response, though Annie, Bertholdt and Reiner seemed to be the most understanding.

"Well then...we should go out and get him!" I know Sasha isn't all there, but what?? "What can we do?" Connie asked. "Let's convince the scouts to go!" We all looked at her skeptically. "Come on guys, it doesn't hurt to ask. Do you even want Jean to be safe or not?!" I looked at Mikasa and she too at me. Should we really? We do have our hands full.

"Fine, let's ask." Reiner? Of course you would agree, mr.big brother. And if you agree, so does Bertholdt. "I agree." Connie probably will agree too. "Uh. I guess you are right." Connie spoke. "We can see if they'll let us use a horse or two." Now it is 4 VS 3. Me and Mikasa won't change our minds. I do not think it is a smart idea to go after them, we have corpses to pile up.

"I agree, we should at least try." And we have titans to clear from the city. And classmates who died, and-. "What?" Did Mikasa...."We should try. Right?" Agreeeeeeeee??!??!?!!

POV: Erwin Smith

This day could not get anymore chaotic. "Hey Hange? What do you make of all of this?" "Hmm?" She turned to me. "Of a cadet being a titan? Of the colossal and Armour probably being humans? Of the eastern kid and the kidnapped cadet? Of the fact we Finally have a one up against the titans? Well, i do have many thoughts. Of each individually too. Do you have a particular one you asking about?"

Yup, as always. Using that brain of hers. "The eastern. Is it not strange? Everything else seems to relate to one another. But this.....it is completely from left field!" I said. She listened, putting down whatever she had in her hands. "Like a page torn from another story placed into ours." She said. "Yeah. That's what it feels like to me."

"I am sad we can not interview him, even if we caught him we can't. But...at least we have Eren. Though both are valuable." She continued. Erens value is more useful to us at this given stage. "I am gonna try and get some sleep before I lose my actual mind over all of this. See you tomorrow!"

"I thought of this when I saw Eren, but it didn't seem very likely to me until the eastern kid came around." She turned her head around, her hand still on the knob. "Which is?" "Humans may live outside the walls."

She dropped her hand. I might sound crazy, but even she seems to think there is some truth to that statrment. "I-"

"Commander!" A scout entered the room. "What is it solider?"
"Some cadets are trying to se-"
"Commander!" It was a cadet? "We have come to ask you something!" It was the same one from earlier on the wall, Conrad I think? "What is it?" A few more entered, about 6. Two of them were also from earlier. One could understand the eastern, and the other was a witness to the kidnapping.

"Wait. Aren't you two Erens friends?"
"Ye-yes. I do not know what that has to do with what we are asking." The blonde one spoke. "Nothing. Nevermind." The kid looked at me for a moment, wanting to say something before he was interuppted by another kid. "Please! Let us go after Jean, sir!

"Jean? The cadet that the easterner took?" Hange questioned. "Yes! It is not right that we cannot do anything! We should at least TRY!" It was the bald cadet from earlier, the one that knew of these creature things. "And why should we try? Why should we invest our lives to go and rescue some cadet? And " I asked. There replies were fruitless. Except for one.

"Maybe you are right. But....what if we can catch up to them?" Hmm? I heard from Pixis this blomde kid was the one that suggested using Eren to plug up the gate. Let's see what he has to say. "Go on?"

"The bird was not that big. It could not possibly carry two teenage boys for a long enough time to get to wall Marias walls even. And not to mention Jean's condition." "What about his condition?"
Hange asked, clearly interested. "He was bleeding, like a lot!" The bald cadet seemed to remember something. "Oh yeah! He has a huge gash on his stomach. By the looks of it, he'd have to get bandaged up or he'd bleed out. If Fushiguro kidnapped him, i doubt he'd just let him die."

Those points are valid. "But how would we get even figure out where they are?" A cadet asked.

"I can help with that."
