"...okay, where the hell is he?" Jesse scowled, pausing the game and sitting up from the bed. She threw the controller down next to her and looked over at Demetri who shrugged next to her with a sigh. "He was supposed to come over and all of a sudden he's all I don't feel good cause he lost five pounds of hair?"
"W-where are you going?" Demetri question as he watched Jesse huffed and grumble while scrambling up out of the bed, fixing her sweater.
"I'm going to go break down his door and drag his sorry butt out of his depression den," Jesse snapped as she hurried out of the bedroom, Demetri following with a stumble as she raced down the stairs. "Then I'm going to drag him up these stairs, force a controller in his hands, and then make him have a good time!" She nearly yelled, throwing the door open and stomping down the street.
"W-wait!" Demetri yelled out, hurrying over and grabbing Jesse's shoulder causing her to spin around with angry eyes.
"What!?"
"...shoes." Demetri said slowly, holding up her shoes. Jesse blinked before looking down at her socks. Her face went red as she took the offering, Demetri immediately holding out a hand to help her step into the shoes even though a snort left him. "You know when you get all angry you get this wrinkle-" his finger poked her in the middle of the forehead. "-it's cute."
Jesse had just gotten her heel into her shoe when her brain decided to stop working at the word cute. She froze, staring up with wide eyes at the lanky boy with a heart that started thumping so hard she swore she could hear it in her ears. His own face was twisted up in the same way he looked at a puzzle game, his thumb taking his pointer's place and rubbing away the wrinkle he had pointed out while her face went pink.
"There, now I don't have to worry about any anger-fuel fights between the two of you."
A small noise left Jesse's throat before she cleared it, marching forward and toward Eli's house with a red face and a hand slowly moving up to touch the spot that tingled.
Jerk.
"Eli Moskowitz, if you don't open up this door I will break in!" Jesse yelled out, knocking loudly with her fist while Demetri hissed at her to be quiet. She didn't listen, instead sending a smirk up his way and yelling louder. "Eli! Open the door! You know how stubborn I am! I will not leave until I get my way!"
"For once your spoiled princess personality comes in handy." Demetri snorted sarcastically, dodging the whack to his arm.
Still there was no answer so Jesse huffed before digging into the potted plant next the front door and grinned victoriously at the small metal key, showing it to a surprised Demetri.
"How... how?"
"I'm smart when I want to be." She said simply, unlocking the door and throwing it open. Stepping into the home menacingly. "Eli whatever-your-middle-name-is Moskowitz! I have come to grab you tight and bring you from perdition!"
"Oh, God. You found that nerd side." Demetri groaned, throwing his head into his hands with a shake. "I tried so hard to keep you away..."
"Shut up." Jesse mumbled out with a dusting of pink over her face before marching into the living room where her victim sat with wide eyes. She pointed threateningly over at the hooded boy. "You, outside, now."
"Jess, I'm not in the mood-"
"Up."
"Seriously! I don't want-"
Narrowing her eyes at the almost equally as aggravated boy, Jesse turned to Demetri. "Where's his room?" She questioned ignoring the roll of eyes and complaints from the couch.
