Alcina sighed, looking down at all her finished papers. After days of distraction, she finally managed to finish her work for the week. Her relief was replaced with annoyance when she realized that starting tomorrow would mark next weeks paperwork for herself, including a new batch from the Village.  But that's what she got for selling good wine and being Miranda's favourite.

There came a knock on her door. For moment, she debated not answering. She wasn't feeling herself and besides, she could smell the blood beyond the door, even if it was a faint scent. She really didn't want to hire a new maid if she could control her thirst. Well, it was her own fault. She had been neglecting her need for blood for the past couple of days since she had been swamped with work.

There came another knock on the door. ''My Lady? Are you in there? I brought you some wine.''

Dammit, it's Rue. The Countess thought before hesitantly telling her to come in. The maid stepped inside, holding a bottle of Sanguine Virginis. When Rue saw her, smiling turned from one of content to one of concern and worry. Which was understandable, Alcina looked much paler than she usually did due to the lack of self-care.

''My Lady, are you alright? You don't look well.'' she said, coming over to her desk and setting down a bottle of wine and a glass for her.

Alcina hummed, watching as Rue poured her a glass of wine. ''No, my darling, I'm not feeling myself.''

She smirked to herself when she saw Rue's cheeks burn red at the pet name. The girl didn't leave immediately, as if waiting for her to say she needed something else. After a few moments, Rue bowed her head to the Countess. ''If there is anything you need, please, don't hesitate to call for me.''

''Wait,'' she said before Rue could go very far. ''please, sit.'' she said, patting her lap. Rue stood there, stunned for a long moment before hesitantly moving closer and sitting on her lap.

The two stayed like that, not a word between them since there was no need for them. Swallowing hard, Rue leaned against the woman, starting to relax. However, she couldn't help but notice that every time she moved, the Countess would tense up before relaxing again. It was a moment before Rue noticed that Lady Dimitrescu hadn't touched her wine. She leaned forwards, a violently fluttering erupting in her abdomen when she felt Lady Dimitrescu's hand on her waist to keep her on her lap.

Rue reached for the glass before handing it to the woman. The Countess thanked her before taking a long drink. As she drank, the maid looked down at the finished papers curiously. ''Lots of work. Must be stressful.''

''It is, my dear. Thankfully, it's not difficult, there's just a lot to do.'' she hummed, setting down her glass.

''If there's a lot of it, it's no wonder you aren't feeling like yourself.'' Rue said looking back at the Countess.

Then, an idea formed in her mind. Her heart hammered against her chest as the Countess looked at her curiously. Rue shifted in her spot, fidgeting with her fingers nervously before turning around so that she was fully facing the older woman. Lady Dimitrescu smirked at her, her large hands now gently caressing Rue's thighs. ''What are you doing, my dear.''

''Well, you seemed tense and I wanted to help you relax.'' she said leaning forwards, resting her hands on the woman's tense shoulders. Lady Dimitrescu's honey coloured eyes had a mischievous glint in them.
