Chapter 19: The Lycan Named Bear

(A/N: This one is a bit longer than the others. I know this one isn't as action packed as my previous two stories. But this story is how Rue and Alcina started dating and how her relationship with the three daughters developed.

Rue couldn't stop thinking of Alcina. No matter what she did or how hard she tried to focus on something else, her mind would always drift back to her. Especially after last night. Her entire body was still sore, especially her the side of her neck after Alcina had bit down just a bit to hard and drew blood on accident. All she wanted to do was rest, but Alcina had been shortening her days for work frequently, which most maids saw as her receiving special treatment and she wouldn't deny it because it was the truth. 

When Alcina had told Rue that if she was too sore in the morning she could take the day off. Rue had been adamant that she would be fit to work despite multiple rounds going late into the night. Previously, the two women had discussed boundaries about a day after Alcina had suggested their little arrangement and had a safe word in place.

''Hey you, so, what's it like being Lady Dimitrescu's favourite?'' Sofia said, dropping down onto Rue's bed, startling the woman.

''Oh by- not you too.'' Rue groaned, pressing her hand against her face.

Sofia gave her a smile before bumping her with her elbow. ''I'm just kidding. But seriously, how are you coping with so much attention?''

Rue sighed, laying down on her bed and staring at the ceiling. In all honestly, she was aware that her relationship with her boss was going to attract attention. She just wasn't expecting just how much attention she would receive. A few maids had asked her about what is was like to sleep with Lady Dimitrescu and others asked if they were dating. There were a few times where she had overheard a couple maids gossiping about her which started to evolve into rumours that Rue was sleeping with Lady Dimitrescu in order to gain some promotion that she didn't even want. Thankfully, Sofia was doing her best to put the rumours to a stop, which always seem to work for a few days before they would pick back up.

''I'm just wondering why no one can seem to mind their own business.'' Rue said in an obviously frustrated tone as she ran her fingers through her damp hair.

''It's probably because of Lady Dimitrescu's previous partner had slept with for her own personal gain and hell, people get bored and have nothing better to do.'' Sofia explained, laying down next to her. ''But hey, don't worry about it. I can tell people to stop asking you about it again.''

''Yes please.'' Rue groaned at how stiff her body was as she rolled onto her side so that she was facing the Head Maid. 

Sofia flashed her a bright smile. ''You sure you up for working today? You seem sore.''

''Yes, I'm sure. Just, fuck, it's stuffy in here.'' Rue said, sighing to herself.

''How about we go for a walk? Just a short one around the courtyard before we start work?'' the blonde suggested. Rue thought for a moment. It was still early in the morning and she had gotten back to the servants quarters maybe a half hour ago. Thankfully, there weren't many maids in the servants quarters to bother her so she was able to clean herself up in peace and saw just how many hickeys Alcina had left on her neck, collarbone and thighs.

''You know what, sure, let's do it.'' Rue said, sitting up and grabbing her coat. Sofia smiled before getting up with a skip in her step and grabbing her coat as well before practically dragging Rue out of the room as soon as she had gotten her boots on.
