The Spanish armada loomed in sight,
Their flags were held so proud and tight.
The blue and white first met the eye,
Their courage never faltered despite.Blessed with a faithful captain true,
And warships meant to pass right through.
Held hatred deep in their hearts,
Fired their canon 'til they must part. But the Spanish were not defeated yet,
Though English cheers confessed regret.
That armada still remains unseen,
Marched on and vanished from the scene!
