Louis

It had been two weeks and still no word from Harry. I'm not going to pretend it didn't hurt, because it did, it fucking hurt like hell. But I can't say I'm not surprise, he has a family now. He has a daughter and a beautiful, loving girlfriend to tend to. Who has time for their best mate when they're so busy in their own perfect world? I'm jealous of what he has, I'm not going to try and deny it, because I am. I'm jealous of how even after everything he put Sam through, and even though he was such a prick when he first found out about Catherine, he still has the perfect life. I guess I just don't understand.

Eleanor was now almost four months along in her pregnancy now and was starting to show. She had a slight baby bump which you still wouldn't really notice unless you actually knew that you were looking for one. Call us superstitious, but we still had decided not to tell anyone until she was completely out of the first trimester, just to be safe. The only people that knew at this point was my mum and Eleanor's grandmother, who was, may I add, very joyed at the news that she was going to live to be a great granny.

She had more of guessed than was told. I found it quite spooky really how she just smiled and walked up to El, placing a shaking hand on her slight baby bump and whispering "You two are going to make the best parents." When I asked her with wide eyes if she could read minds, El slapped me upside the head. I don't know what I did wrong, it was a perfectly reasonable question given what had happened.

I looked over at the clock on the bedside table, but judging by the bright rays shining directly into my eyes, I was guessing it was already late morning. I slowly stretched my aching limbs, reaching around for the warmth of the woman next to me, but it was nowhere to be found.

"El?" I croaked out as I failed to open my eyes.

"Baby where are youuuu?" I whined as I slowly rubbed my eyes, opening them to be greeted by an empty bed. Groaning, I dragged my still half asleep body out of bed and padded barefoot into the kitchen. I poured myself a glass of water and leaned against the counter as I gulped down the refreshingly cool water, chilling my scratchy throat. I looked around the room for any sign of my precious El, but she was nowhere to be seen. What I did find instead though, was a note taped to the door. I squinted trying to read it, but without my contacts in, it was too far away to read the small handwriting. I walked over to the door, the cold hardwood floors under my feet sending chills through my body. I quickly snatched the note off the door and held it up in front of my face.

Lou,

Went out with Danielle and Lotts for a girl's day. Be back by five!

I love you. xx

P.S: Harry called. Check your voicemail.

Love,

Elie and our little man (:

I smiled from ear to ear as I finished reading the hastily written note before carefully tucking it away in the pocket of my sweats. I checked the clock above the stove in the kitchen, and had to check it twice to be sure I saw it right the first time. It was indeed already one in the afternoon. Oh great, I moaned in my head, I'd already slept half the day away...

Yawning, I rubbed my eyes as my heavy feet dragged me over to the answering machine on the kitchen island. The bright red light was flashing, signaling that I had at least three new messages.

First unheard message:

"Hi Boo! Please let Eleanor know that I'll be in Monday at three to accompany her to her OB/GYN appointment! There's really no need for you to go to this one, it's more of a checkup for the mummy, lots of womanly issues. I'm sure you wouldn't want to be there anyways. I'm so glad you two decided not to find out the sex of the baby! It's always so fun to be surprised! Well, just thought I'd ring you up and see how the little peanut was! El's doing well, yeah? Has she started to get any cravings? When I was pregnant with you all I wanted was salt and vinegar crisps and cauliflower! Oh, just you wait till those cravings hit, haha. Well, I best be off now. Give my love to Elie and my grandbaby! Oh! And say hi to H for me! Love ya baby!"
