[3rd Person POV]
The Tokyo Special Division 4 members just went up a floor. Arai noticed the same blood splatter from the Devil that Power just killed.
"Huh?" Arai became confused.
He stared at it for a brief moment as he quickly went to the stairs again to check what floor they are in.
"What's the matter?" Aki asks him.
"We just climbed the stairs from floor 8 to floor 9, right?" Arai questions.
"Yes."
"This is floor 8 again." Arai stated.
"You sure you didn't get the numbers wrong?" Denji asks Arai.
"I didn't! Something's not right. I'm going to check." Arai went down the stairs.
He then goes downstairs, but the rest see him coming from upstairs.
"Uh oh." Arai realizes they are screwed.
"How is this even possible..." (Y/N) became confused.
"Arai-kun, you just...went down the stairs, right?" Himeno is in disbelief.
Kobeni is shaking out of fear, she is starting to panic. She even started making noise. "E-Eeehh...E-E-Ehhhhhh..."
"Kobeni-chan! Make peace signs and stand still." Himeno said to her.
Himeno then goes downstairs, but she also comes out from upstairs.
"Oh my." Himeno stated, she is trying to compose herself after she believes they are in a terrible situation.
"EHH-EEHHHH E-E-EHHHHH." Kobeni is really panicking while doing the peace signs.
"Aki-kun, what do you make of this?" Himeno asks him.
"Must be a devil's ability." Aki answered. "Kobeni, stand there."
Aki then enters one of the rooms. He notices that on the other side of the window is another room. He goes into it and then leaves through the door but finds himself on the same 8th floor opposite the room he just entered.
Kobeni heard the door open behind her, she then saw Aki which made her more terrified. "EHHHH!"
"Hey! We can't get out through any of the windows! They just loop back to the other side!" Denji exclaimed.
"Just as I feared, then. We can't leave the eighth floor."
Later, all of the members are gathered in a room.
"Let's look at our situation. Likely due to a devil's ability, whether we go up or down the stairs, we end up on the eighth floor again." Aki analyzes the situation.
Denji yawned as he is laying on a bed.
"For some reason, we can't use the elevator. We can't get out via windows in the rooms. Going through the ceiling also leads back to the eighth floor." Aki continued.
"It's probably because Power killed that devil just now." Denji casually accuses Power. "It died with its ability to lock people in activated. That devil was-
"You said to kill it!" Power interrupted him.
"Did not!" Denji replied.
As the rest of the members are talking, (Y/N) notices Kobeni is sitting on a bed and is quiet.
He then sits beside her. "Everything's gonna be alright, Kobeni." (Y/N) tried to reassure her.
"I'm sorry, (Y/N), but...we're all going to die here... We're going to starve to death..."
